Netsukuku Community What is Netsukuku? The Netsukuku project is based on the very simple idea of exploiting the great potentiality of the wifi connectivity, making the PCs of wireless communities act as routers and handle together an ad-hoc network even bigger than the Internet. Netsukuku is an ad-hoc network system designed to handle massive numbers of nodes with minimal consumption of CPU and memory resources. It can be used to build a world-wide distributed, fault-tolerant, anonymous, and censorship-immune network, fully independent from the Internet. Netsukuku does not rely upon any form of backbone router, internet service provider network, or any centralized system, although it may take advantage of existing systems of this nature to augment unity and connectivity of the existing Netsukuku network.

Amongst other things it promises, economic and professional freedom, self-reliance and development to entrepreneur's and connected families, prompting associations, governments and other bodies to encourage entrepreneurship. More widespread encouragement of local entrepreneurship will encourage more extensively spread economic gains as also other developmental gains like building better self-reliance, self-confidence and an increased sense of security and achievement. Such increased well-being around the community, rather than just for an individual, builds better social fabric, lifestyles, reduces crime etc. Therefore it is no surprise that entrepreneurship will be and is being actively encouraged in developing countries.

7 Tips To Survive Your Move To A Smaller Solid State Drive If you keep yourself updated with stories from the tech world, you will know that Solid State Drives are the future when it comes to storage drives in personal computers – especially in the mobile computing arena. SSD allows PC manufacturers to build much faster and more energy-efficient machines. Ordinary users can also bump up the performance of their old machine(s) by replacing the HDD with SSD. But in its current state, SSD still has one major disadvantage compared to the traditional HDD – the price. Unless you have money to burn, you won’t get a large enough storage space to breathe. The most common SSD capacities that you can currently find in the market are around 64GB and 120GB, while most entry-level computers come with a 500GB HDD.

Global mapping of technology for transparency and accountability As internet and mobile phone use increases, technology is transforming the field of transparency and accountability making it an increasingly dynamic space across the globe. Technology is helping to improve citizen participation in decision-making and producing new ways of identifying public service challenges through processes such as ‘data mashing’. This paper documents current trends in the way technology is being used to promote transparency in different parts of the world. It reviews over 100 projects from across Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America, examining how new technologies are re-energising traditional methods. In particular, it focuses on how these new technologies are helping to engage different actors from citizens, media, authorities and the private sector. Our research finds promising success stories alongside less accomplished examples.
