FUEL Official FUEL documentation is here, on Mozilla Developer Center. This is a development wiki and is not representative of the final FUEL API. FUEL (Firefox User Extension Library) is a JavaScript Library designed to help developers build extensions using terminology and interfaces that are familiar to them. It will be usable in Firefox 1.5-3.0. FUEL is about making it easier for extension developers to be productive, by minimizing some of the XPCOM formality and adding some "modern" JavaScript ideas. We want to start with areas that will provide the most benefit. FUEL is Firefox-only for the time being, see bug 380168#c4. API for prioritizing HTTP connections The Mozilla networking library now supports the prioritization of connections to a specific server. API for configuring proxies It is now possible for extensions to easily override the proxy configuration without affecting user-visible preferences. API for managing user and UA stylesheets Extensions can now register stylesheet URIs as additional user and UA stylesheets. Site-specific user style sheet rules Firefox now supports site-specific user style sheet rules. Dynamic Overlays Loading of XUL overlays after the document has been displayed is now supported. David R. Heffelfinger's Ensode.net - Free PDF Unlock Online Some PDF documents prevent the user from copying and pasting or printing it's contents. This sometimes presents a problem since the author of the PDF might have used a font that is not available in the sytem trying to read it. This page contains a free online utility that allows you to upload a PDF, once uploaded, a version of the PDF without printing or copying/pasting restrictions is displayed in a new browser window. To unlock a PDF file, enter it's location in the "PDF file to unlock" field, by either typing it in the field or clicking on the "browse" button, then navigating to it's location. The unlocked version of the PDF will be displayed in a new browser window, opened in the default PDF application for your system (usually Adobe Acrobat Reader) The terms and conditions must be accepted to unlock the PDF file.
