Autorisations de mise sur le marché de pesticides : Stéphane LE FOLL veut la transparence L’association Générations futures s’est procurée des courriers du directeur de l’ANSES au Directeur général de l’Alimentation, dans lequel le premier fait état de non prise en compte de la part de l’administration d’un certain nombre d’avis de l’ANSES à la suite d’une demande d’autorisation de mise sur le marché de pesticides (AMM). Stéphane LE FOLL, Ministre de l’Agriculture, de l’Agroalimentaire et de la Forêt souhaite réagir à l’accusation portée contre la Direction générale de l’alimentation (DGAL). Il tient à rappeler que la DGAL et l’ANSES collaborent en permanence tant au niveau des équipes que des directions, en particulier sur la question des AMM. Pour mémoire, la mise sur le marché d’un produit phytosanitaire en France est conditionnée à l’autorisation au niveau européen des substances le composant ainsi qu’à son évaluation par l’ANSES et à une consultation interministérielle concernant les ministères de la consommation, de la santé, de l’environnement et du travail.

L'absence de données de comparaison fiables explique cet avis négatif. Un sujet qui renvoie aux questions soulevées par l'étude Séralini. Le 16 avril, l'Autorité européenne de sécurité des aliments (Efsa) a refusé de se prononcer sur la sécurité du maïs génétiquement modifié (GM) 98140 pour la santé humaine et animale. La procédure d'évaluation comparative dispense le pétitionnaire qui demande l'homologation de fournir des analyses de toxicité, expliquait fin 2012 Christophe Noisette d'Inf'OGM à Actu-environnement. Ce maïs développé par Pioneer et DuPont et résistant à certains herbicides, dont le glyphosate substance active du Round Up, fait l'objet actuellement d'une demande d'homologation européenne pour l'importation, la transformation, l'alimentation humaine, l'alimentation animale et l'alimentation humain ou animale dérivée. Group Calls on South Africa to Ban Monsanto's GMO Corn Following in the footsteps of nations like France and Russia, South Africa may soon be the latest nation to enact a ban on Monsanto’s GMO corn that was recently linked to tumor development and organ damage in rats. South Africa’s African Centre for Biosafety (ACB), a watchdog organization that was created to protect consumers from various biotechnology dangers, is now calling on South African authorities to enact a ban on Monsanto’s tumor-linked maize crop known as NK603. This is particularly important when it comes to South Africa as white corn is a large staple food, making up for 80% of the harvest just last year. In the event that the maize were to be banned, it would be a major hit for Monsanto and an even larger victory for the 50,586,757 people who live in South Africa. If authorities take the advice of ACB, then it would not only ban the cultivation of the GMO corn, but the import and export as well. As expected, Monsanto has not taken this news lightly.
