Strawberry Mug Pies
Luckily, there’s only been a handful of times in my life when I’ve been seriously disappointed. …when I learned the truth about Santa, even though at age 14 I still begged my brothers to sleep in my bed with me because I was so horrified of a portly, hairy man seeing me while I was sleeping. See also: when I learned the truth about Dirty Dancing. Like it not being real life. …when my mom claimed that parmesan truffle fries tasted… “funny.” …when I found out that Alanis was really singing about Uncle Joey in In You Oughta Know. …when I found out about skinny jeans. …oh, and that time I tried to make a pie crust like Mother Lovett and ran screaming for the hills, swearing off all pastry for life. But no fear. All you have to do is throw some stuff in a mug and eat it. And it may not even really be a pie, but what the heck else should I call it? You don’t need to make these in a mug – you can clearly make them in a cutie ramekin or even a small sort of bowl. Strawberry Mug Pies serves 4 Related:  DulceRecipes

Minute Microwave Cheesecake Margaret asked me if there was some way to make a quick cheesecake. “I’d love to see a cheesecake ‘in a minute,’” she told me. “Just a single serving size.” I love a cooking challenge so, with her mandate, I set out to create a simple dessert that: 1. The spoon in my mouth proves I achieved the desired results. You might wonder why I added the egg to the recipe. 2-Minute French Toast in A Cup Who’s got the munchies? Ha! Seeing as our Cup of Coffee Cake (in Under 5 Minutes) was our most popular post of 2011, I thought y’all might enjoy my other favorite last minute snack, which is even quicker and easier and more fattening (and therefore more delicious/more embarrassing to admit I eat on a regular basis). It’s french toast in a cup, made in your microwave and topped off with a generous ssquirt of ssyrup (which is making my ssssss key kind of sssticky right now). So please, grab a slice of bread and allow me to blow your mind… Don’t forget to check out Jaime’s Lazy Late Night Cooking Corner on our YouTube channel for more microwaveable treats like, Single Serve Cinnamon Roll, Rice Krispy Treat, Blueberry Cobbler, and Strawberry Shortcake for Two. 2-Minute French Toast in a Cup Recipe First you need bread. 5 Minute Chocolate Fudge S'mores Mug Cake Oh hi! Just sharing a s’mores mug cake today. That can be made in 5 minutes. You know… NO BIG DEAL. Since you’re asking, yes… I have always thought the whole “cake in a mug in a microwave” thing was sort of skeevy. And another. Annnnnd maybe another. And another? Then I thought… is there anything in the world that I’m more obsessed with than s’mores? In minutes, with a few tweaks and twists and makeshift graham crusts and marshmallow middles, I had a s’mores mug. And it was just SO… FUDGEY. Sidebar: for years as a quick treat, I’ve melted butter in a bowl, added graham cracker crumbs, thrown on some chocolate chips and marshmallows then stuffed it in the microwave for 10 seconds. And you know what? This is like, A BILLION TIMES BETTER. Sorry for the shouting, but it’s necessary. !!! This is a much more practical, easier, quicker version of my smore’s cake in a jar, with marshmallows stuffed in the center and even a few healthier adjustments. I want to marry this mug. 'Baked' Oatmeal in a Mug I recently posted about Chocolate Cake in a Mug, where I showed you how to bake a single-serving chocolate cake in only a few minutes. That got me to thinking, would this work for baked oatmeal too? I adore baked oatmeal, but most mornings I don’t have the time to bake it. So I tried applying the principles of chocolate cake in a mug to baked oatmeal, and it actually worked pretty well! Apple Banana “Baked” Oatmeal in a Mug 1/2 cup quick cooking oats 1 tbsp ground flax seed 1 egg 1/2 cup milk 1/3 of a banana, mashed 1/4 tsp cinnamon 1/2 of an apple, chopped 2 tsp honey Add oats, flax, egg and milk in a mug.

100 Calorie 2 Minute Chocolate Mug Cake Mug cakes have been taking the web by storm. I set out several months ago to make my version of the perfect mug cake, and created a Nutella mug cake you can find here. It’s been my most popular recipe to date. It is good, really good, but it’s high in fat and calories. I actually didn’t realize just how high in calories it was until a reader broke it down for me, it’s over 850 calories. That’s almost half the calories we should be consuming in a day, so I set out to makeover the mug cake. My Nutella mug cake post had lots of comments from readers saying how good it was, but there were also comments saying the serving size was too big, it was to fatty, tasted eggy and was too high in calories. 100 Calorie Chocolate Mug Cake Ingredients 2 tablespoons self-rising flour 2 tablespoons cocoa powder 3 tablespoons stevia for baking 2 tablespoons unsweetened apple sauce 2 tablespoons 35 calorie per serving unsweetened almond milk 1 egg white Instructions 1. 2.

Strawberry Lemonade Vodka A couple weeks ago I posted a Strawberry Basil Mojito and it started me on a beverage kick. I wish I hadn’t waited until the end of summer to start thinking about creative, fruity and refreshing drinks, but being the procrastinator that I am, I did! Sweet drinks are tasty, and they’re a simple way to liven up a party. I especially love this drink because it combines 2 of my favorite flavors: lemon and strawberry with my favorite alcohol: vodka. I made a pitcher of Strawberry Lemonade Vodka mere days after the mojito so I had leftover simple syrup. Use a food processor to puree a pint of fresh strawberries and water Pour it into a pitcher with ice Pour in the lemon juice Plus the water and simple syrup And vodka :-) Perfectly tart and sweet! Strawberry Lemonade Vodka Ingredients 1 cup sugar 1 cup water 1 pint fresh strawberries 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 8 lemons) 4-6 cups cold water 1 cup vodka, optional Instructions Adapted from My Baking Addiction livelovepasta

Don't Forget Delicious! » Blog Archive » Fastest Cinnamon Rolls Heat the oven to 400°F. Grease the sides and bottom of a 8 or 9″ baking pan with cooking spray. Combine the ricotta cheese, buttermilk, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla in food processor and process until smooth, about 10 seconds. Add the flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda and pulse in short bursts just until the dough clumps together (don’t overprocess). Dump the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it with floured hands 4 or 5 times until smooth (it really only takes 4-5 times). Brush the dough with the melted butter, leaving a 1/2-inch border unbuttered around the edges. Starting at a long edge, roll up the dough jelly-roll style. With a sharp knife, cut the roll into equal pieces (I got 8). Bake until golden brown and firm to the touch, 20 to 28 minutes. In a small bowl, mix the softened mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla to make a smooth glaze.

Nutella Cheesecake Bars The day we made these Nutella Cheesecake Bars did not start out so smooth. Our initial plan was to make Churro Cupcakes, which Kara and I had both been eyeing for months. The cupcakes had lots of steps, which we usually try to avoid, but we made them anyway. We had high expectations and they were a complete and utter flop. I am so glad that we decided on this recipe because they were delicious! These cheesecake bars were one of the desserts we prepared on Mother’s Day. Here’s what you’ll need Butter and line a baking dish with parchment paper Pulse the Oreos Pour in the melted butter and pulse again until moistened Pour the crumbs into your lined baking dish Press Oreo mixture evenly into the bottom of your dish Pop that in the oven for 12 minutes, or until set Clean out your food processor then get started on the cheesecake To the 16 ounces of cream cheese add 2 eggs A quarter cup of heavy cream And a half cup sugar Looks like I’m watching very very carefully as I pour in the vanilla. Yields 16

Chocolate Peanut Butter Mug Cake So I'm pretty much going crazy about this amazing weather. I mean, 80s and sunny in mid-March? YES PLEASE, OBVIOUSLY. But. You see, my little brother Boots loves boots. So every night we all gather in the living room for our current Star Wars marathon. And Boots wiggles his toes in front of my face as if to say, "just these five little piggies". And then my nose falls off and I die. So we coax him into washing his feet by telling him horrible tales germs that like to live on stinky toes. After such an episode today I found him sitting on the bathroom counter with his feet in the sink, pouring Listerine over them. Okay... that works I guess. Anyways, enough about grossness. This is a five minute chocolate mug cake that is laced with peanut butter. It's topped with a fluffy peanut butter mousse that tastes exactly like peanut butter pie, which takes two seconds to make. Top that with hot fudge. That's the batter in case you were wondering. And please.

I Am Now In The Muffin Loop I am so sick. Of myself. Do you know what I mean? Is it a stage or something? I was just going to write "I can't seem to get hooked into anything lately!"
