100 Ways to Simplify Your Life (and Make Yourself Happier) I’ve been striving to simplify my life for many years now, and have recently (through my writing) been advising others how to do the same. In the process, I’ve learned that making little changes in our attitudes, habits, and environment can have a big impact. So today, I thought I’d compile a list of 100 ways to simplify your life – from the practical to the philosophical, and everything in between. Of course, not every item on the list will work for every person reading it. However, I hope that you’ll find at least a little something that speaks to you, helps you save some time, space, and energy — and perhaps even increases your serenity and happiness! How to add character to your home (on a budget) I have often found myself searching through home decor magazines and always wonder... "How can I get my living room to look like THAT?!" Every page is filled with rooms which look perfectly put together yet comfy and lived in all at the same time. Being that the living room is the first room that you see when you enter our home & where we spend the most of our time as a family, watching TV, playing, reading, etc... it becomes the room which I analyze the most. Living in Military Housing, there are many things that can be hard to overlook, like the plain stark white walls for example. Here are my shopping savvy tips for saving money on a room re-do: First, start by shopping your own home. Second, shop at consignment stores, thrift stores or re-sale shops. Third, head off to TJMaxx, Home Goods, Marshalls, Target, Wal-Mart or any other store where you can get a good bargain on home decor items to finish off the room. Here is what the room started out as before & here is is AFTER

Emotion Expression - Emotion Faces and Facial Analysis Neither emotion nor its expression are concepts universally embraced by psychologists. The term "expression" implies the existence of something that is expressed. Some psychologists deny that there is really any specific organic state that corresponds to our naive ideas about human emotions; thus, its expression is a non sequitur. Other psychologists think that the behaviors referenced by the term "expression" are part of an organized emotional response, and thus, the term "expression" captures these behaviors' role less adequately than a reference to it as an aspect of the emotion reaction. Still other psychologists think that facial expressions have primarily a communicative function and convey something about intentions or internal state, and they find the connotation of the term "expression" useful. Some of these theoretical views are discussed briefly on the Theories of Emotion page. Happy Sad Anger Fear Disgust Surprise Other emotion expressions and related expressions

9 Body Language Do's and Don'ts For Meeting With Clients And Prospects If you're sure you've been saying all the right things but still can't close the deal with prospects, author Sharon Sayler suggests you consider what you've really been saying to potential customers -- not just verbally, but nonverbally. She explains while you might be saying, "I'm the person who can help you with your life insurance needs," the message you're conveying through your body might be very different. Words are only a small part of communication. True communication goes beyond words, and great communicators use every tool they have to deliver their message. Read on for a few nonverbal do's and don'ts: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. How to Use One Yard of Fabric To Style a Window Shade 3 Ways I have another turquoise project for you today. It is one that uses fabric instead of paint. I made a no sew window treatment for my daughter’s apartment bedroom using only 1 yard of fabric. I wasn’t sure exactly what she was going to like or even need on the window, so I made the shade versatile – she can change the look of it 1.2.3… I photographed it on one of the windows in my studioffice. Here is the same yard of fabric styled 3 different ways – all completed with no sewing at all. ( After posting this I found one more way to use the shade making it 4 ways. #1 No Sew Window Treatment: As a No-Sew Roman Shade. Presto Chango #2 No Sew Window Treatment: Double Clipped Shade Presto Chango once again #3 No Sew Window Treatment: Single Clipped Shade Supplies Needed: I ran out of fabric glue in the middle of attaching the fabric lining so for this tutorial I am going to show you how to use both fabric glue and fusible adhesive. 1. 2. 3. Trash Diet: Part 4 – Reusable Stuff Today is the last official post for our trash diet (although I’m sure I’ll be posting more green living projects in the future). Our final topic on how to reduce your waste is probably the easiest to implement – reusing. There are so many areas where families can reuse and it makes so much sense to do so. Click through for my favorite posts and products for getting in the reusing habit, as well as a recap of our diet success. Reusable bags – These days there are reusable bags on the market in every shape and size and for every purpose. are especially fun because they transform into small animals, which is sure to get the little ones excited about reusing. Other shopping bag option include these reusable produce bags and I love this tutorial on how to make a grocery bag dispenser (in case you slip up and have to come home with some plastic). Along with shopping bags, small food storage bags can also be reusable. brand is especially stylish. with built-in filters. Glad Composting Bags P.S.
