Crocheted granny squares are a hit with crafters since there are so many different items you can make with them: blankets or afghans, scarves, potholders, wraps, totes…the ideas are endless! Here are several different designs to check out, use a single pattern for a project or mix them up as you like. I also added a helpful tutorial at the bottom showing you how to join them all together and another for how to make a flat border (for blankets). A few weeks ago I was asked about a Granny pattern in English that could only be found in German. So I translated it, thinking that I may crochet it myself one day because it’s a lovely pattern. Later I’ve learnt that the pattern had been modified and gotten a new name due to a charity project in Somalia. Maybe you don’t know much about the crisis at the horn of Africa, maybe you do. Anyway, while I am corcheting these lovely squares on a rainy day, I am thinking about the misery and famine and all the people suffering, especially the women and children. Granny Square “Somalia” Round 1: Magic loop, 7 sc and sst into the first sc (8 stiches). Round 2: chain 3 (counts as a htrc), 1 dc into the first sc of the previous round, chain 2, 2 htrc into each of the sc of the previous round, 1 sst into the first dc. Round 3: New colour in any of the chain 2 space, chain 2, 1 dc into the same space, chain 1, 2dc into each space, chain two, sst in the first dc of the previous round. Gefällt mir:

I have had many, many requests for a How-To tutorial so others could make a Crochet Chain Link Necklace, so I thought I ought to do it :-) These necklaces are simple, pretty & even practical, yep, they're baby proof! So here's what you need to know to make yourself a Crochet Chain Link Necklace: What you need: 90m (100yds) DK weight cotton (approx) 4mm (US#6) crochet hook Wool Needle to weave in ends Scissors Gauge: Gauge (or tension) is not really important for this pattern. Abbreviations: Ch = chain sl st = slip stitch dc = double crochet (sc = single crochet, if using U.S. crochet terms) yrh = yarn round hook Pattern: -Ch 20, join with sl st to form ring, taking care not to twist your sts. -Ch 1, dc (sc) in each st for 4 rounds. -Now you will be joining the working edge of your work (top) to the foundation ch (bottom). -Now yrh, pull through all sts on hook (that was a sl st), now repeat these steps to the end, joining your link together. Lacy granny square
I present to you the newest block in the town! Lets welcome the Lacy granny square ;) It is fun, simple and supercute if I may say so myself :) And it will be a great addition to my BigBrightBlanket. So here comes the scheme!I was drawing the scheme thinking how lacy granny square would be made using just one color. O, and I made up symbol for half double crochet because google hates me ... and the last row I draw black, because I use it only if I need to make the square bigger or end it like typical granny square. So here are some color variations of this square I have already made :) Hope you'll have fun with it too! p.s.

Alors voici mon mini tuto pour confectionner ce bracelet au crochet vous aurez besoin de : - Du fils de coton - Un crochet. J'ai utiliser un crochet de grosseur 1.6mm - Une attache à bracelet - De la petite chaîne en métal - De la colle à tissus ( assez liquide et transparente) Commencer par faire 3 cercles au crochet comme ceci: Faire un anneau de 8 ml 1er tour: 12ms ds l'anneau, 1mc ds la 1ère ms. 2ème tour: 1ml, 1ms dans la ml, 2ms ds chq ms suiv, 1mc ds la 1ère ms. 3ème tour: 4ml,[1br,1ml] 23 fois, 1mc ds 3ème ml. 4ème tour: 2ml, sauter 1ml, 1ms ds ms suiv, [1ml,sauter 1ml,1ms ds ms suiv] 22 fois, 1ml, sauter 1ml 1mc ds 1ère ml. 5ème tour: 3ml, sauter 1ms, 1mc ds la ms suiv, [3ml, sauter 1m, 1mc ds la m suiv] 22fois, 3ml sauter 1m, 1mc au pied ds 3ml du début du tour. Une fois mes 3 cercles fait, je les ai assembler ensemble en me servant du bout de fils que j'avais laisser à la fin de mon ouvrage à l'aide d'une petite aiguille J'espère que cela vous à plu A+
