Granny Bobble Spiral Hi all, My attempt at a spiral bobble pattern posted here - has been a hit with all you pinners out there, and so I have refined the pattern... Granny Bobble Spiral - And there you have it. It's a bit fiddly at first with lots of ends and loops, but once you get past the 2nd row and the pattern is set the only problem is keeping the 4 balls of wool untangled! Anywho, I hope you like it... Grannies gratuits Crocheted granny squares are a hit with crafters since there are so many different items you can make with them: blankets or afghans, scarves, potholders, wraps, totes…the ideas are endless! Here are several different designs to check out, use a single pattern for a project or mix them up as you like. I also added a helpful tutorial at the bottom showing you how to join them all together and another for how to make a flat border (for blankets).
Shara Lambeth Designs: Crochet Chain Link Necklace Tutorial Hello friends! I have had many, many requests for a How-To tutorial so others could make a Crochet Chain Link Necklace, so I thought I ought to do it :-) These necklaces are simple, pretty & even practical, yep, they're baby proof! So here's what you need to know to make yourself a Crochet Chain Link Necklace: La Belle Helene: Sunburst I've been experimenting recently with lots of different ways to make strong enough 3D crochet vessels and I thought I'd give the most obvious method - wire - a try this time. I found some wires too inflexible and difficult to mould as well as being too skinny in diameter once crocheted, so I decided to try wire with its plastic coating still on - like the ones you find in electric cables. In the UK that will be brown and blue colours:) (the earth wire doesn't have a plastic coating inside the big grey tubing which I stripped off, just the bare copper - which is very nice in its own right and I will keep for later!) Ok, so I have my plastic coated wire, and now I can see how it moulds - yummy!

I didn’t invent this pattern in the slightest, (obviously) but I’m going to show you step by step how to make the basic granny square. When I started to learn I couldn’t find a pattern that I could understand easily and so I hope to change that by doing one with lots of pictures :-) This is the pattern I used to make the squares for the Granny Alice blanket (above). For this pattern, you will need to know how to chain stitch, and how to make a UK treble (TR) stitch. This is equivalent to the US double (DC) stitch but I will be using the UK terminology for this pattern. If you don’t know how to make a TR stitch, have a look HERE.
