I've seen a few similar cute crochet owls out there in blogland and on Etsy but they looked quite complicated to me. So for my version I've tried to keep things as simple as possible. If you are proficient at crochet you will be able to make one of these sweet little owls in no time at all. This item is designed for decorative use and is not suitable for use as a toy for a small child. The pattern is written in my usual format.....U.S. terms. Here is a list of the abbreviations used and a handy conversion guide for U.K. terms.......... sc= single crochet................................U.K. double crochet hdc = half double crochet..................U.K. half treble crochet To begin chain 4 Work 13 dc into ring and here's the back.

How to Make a Travel Mercy Dear Readers, This is one of those rare posts I promised during the introduction where I will get specific about how I make something. (Note: I'm having trouble fixing the formatting for the pictures at the bottom, but I think you'll be able to understand what they're illustrating...) Please don't take this to mean there is only one way to make a Travel Mercy! 1. 2. 3. For those of you who don't crochet or are trying to learn, this is about as easy a project as you could ask for. Anyway, here's how I do it: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. I hope these instructions and pictures are helpful. God bless, Matt

Amigurumi No-Sew Hamburger or Cheeseburger Food has been a routine source of inspiration for all sorts of cuteness, from stationary to Amigurumi and I have always loved recreating it in Amigurumi. This pattern was inspired by the hamburger from Doki-Doki Yummy Chums, and is a super cute burger that wants to make friends. The pattern is worked continuously in one piece, and finishes up faster than the separate buns, patties and cheese patterns I found online, most of which were pay anyhow. It also needs no sewing, which saves time and pain in the ass factor, and makes it safer for animals and small children. So happy to be so cute! Hamburger-Kun has a happy! Looks better than he tastes! Cheeseburger-kun was made with a 3.5mm hook going through both loops apart from where it is specifically stated otherwise. Yarn Used Camel Off White Apple Green Red Sunburst Warm Brown Burger Top Bun CH 2 or Magic Ring or start however you like. 1. Lettuce Work round 19 only in the front loop of round 18, not in both loops. 19. Hook this up!

Kawaii Amigurumi CupCake Keychain Front View I made this little guy for the girl who has been teaching a manga drawing class at the local Comic Book store for the last year or so and has been awesome to my kid. She’s passed on some really cool drawing tips, always been friendly and patient with the kids, and that is super duper in my books. She’s going on to another job and won’t be there anymore so we wanted to do something sweet for her. It was made with half strands of yarn and a 2mm crochet hook. The bottom is worked to be actually flat. 2mm hook for half strands of yarn or smaller for crochet cotton. 3.5mm hook for worsted weight yarn. SC = Single Crochet INVDEC = Invisible Decrease INC = Increase (2 SC in one stitch) CupCake Top CH2 or Magic Ring or however you like to start 1. CupCake Bottom CH2 or Magic Ring or however you like to start 1. Cherry CH2 or Magic Ring or however you like to start 1. Hook this up!

d4 and d6 Pattern You may or may not know this, but I am a D&D geek. And for the first time in my life, I’m DMing a campaign. A handful of friends comes over every Sunday afternoon and we have many great imaginary adventures. Not long ago, I saw a set of stuffed plushie dice available for sale. I want it! So that’s what I started to do. Here’s how to make them: Four-Sided Die (d4) Acrylic worsted weight yarn, main color Acrylic worsted weight yarn, contrasting color (for numbers) Size “G” hook Yarn needle Special stitch: Decrease (dec): Put hook through first sc stitch and pull up a loop. Face (make 4) With main color, ch 25. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook. You should have a (roughly) equilateral triangle. When all 4 faces are completed, use contrasting color to stitch numbers on the corners as shown in picture. Stitch sides together, matching like numbers to like numbers at the corners. To read a d4, you look at the top number on the pyramid. Six-Sided Die (d6) Face (make 6) Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook.
