Design Creative Living Lab (DCC-L) The Design Creative City Living Lab (DCC-LL) is a living lab focused on city services and applications corresponding to a Human Adapted Design. It promotes a “design that invents and develops new ways of living, through objects, images and services”. It takes the individual as the central theme, in relation to his activities: living, working, travelling, communicating, playing, and caring.The Living Lab is led by the Cité du design (Saint-Etienne, France), and gets together local, regional and national partners from public authorities, academic, and industrial fields. It aims at exploring and achieving policies and business goals related to urban services innovation using an iterative model of stakeholder co- design. Description References The Cité du design has an “eco-systemic” approach to its projects.

Adaptive Privacy Management for Distributed Applications In networked computing environments, it becomes increasingly difficult for normal people to manage privacy, i.e., “to determine for themselves when, how, and to what extent information about them is communicated with others”. The thesis argues that achieving better privacy is not about hiding as much personal information as possible but enabling personal information disclosure at a level of openness that is as close as to a user’s desired level to assist him/her in accomplishing useful tasks.
