DMT Candy for the Mind INTENSITY: 9 to 10 SAFETY FACTORS: 5-MeO-DMT is an MAO inhibitor. See list of items not to take with MAO inhibitors on page 19. MATERIAL: N,N-Dimethyltryptamine and 5-Methoxy-Dimethyltryptamine are naturally occurring psychedelics found in a variety of plants around the world, several of which are native to the Amazon region. N,N-DMT and 5-MeO-DMT are also manufactured synthetically, as separate compounds, and sold on the underground market And although it's quite rare in the psychedelic underground, synthetic DMT is used much more often than DMT from natural sources. HISTORY: There are several plant sources of DMT, many of which have uniquely different histories of use. Two sources of DMT, Anadenanthera peregrina and Virola theiodora, are made into snuffs, commonly known as Yopo and Epena, respectively. Elsewhere in the Amazon, DMT-containing plants like Psychotria veridis are included in brews known as Ayahuasca or Yage. How the natives discovered this combination boggles the mind.

Whoa!! The High Voltage Larry Carlson!! My buddy Max just turned me onto this guy. Dude! I've 'seen' a lot of this stuff on my astral voyages! We used to call this kind of bloke a 'high brother' - check it out if you haven't already heard of him. Ayahuasca, DMT and UFOs Some Important Iconographical Motifs: Space-ships The spaceship motif has an important place in Pablo's visions. As we saw earlier, when the curandera who cured his sister gave him ayahuasca, Pablo saw a huge flying saucer making a tremendous noise that made him panic (Vision 7). Don Manuel Amaringo, Pablo's older brother, has a similar story. He told me - with tears in his eyes - that the main icaro he employed to cure many people he learned from a fairy called Altos Cielos Nieves Tenebrosas, who came in a blue spaceship: She asked me: "Do you want to listen to my song?" She sang and that song I have always kept in my heart. In spite of the frequency with which Pablo depicts spaceships, he is sparse in his commentary about them. A similar idea has been reported by German anthropologist Angelika Gebhart-Sayer. On several occasions Gebhart-Sayer herself saw soundless yellowish lights about the size of a football, moving about 400 meters away, and about one meter above the ground. [..]

The Ego Trick: Amazon.co.uk: Julian Baggini Those of us not entirely unsympathetic to the philosophical enterprise should be reassured by this memorable image, in itself almost all the recommendation this fascinating book needs. Julian Baggini is a practitioner who has evidently managed to retain, despite constant professional exposure to the writings of countless Great Minds, both a sense of humour and a healthy regard for human foibles and the fallibility of philosophers. That this book is both readable and comprehensible by ordinary mortals is no slight on Baggini's philosophical credentials. His intellect is sharper than most, and his verdicts on the self are delivered with a surprising degree of certitude. Baggini's surefooted conclusions are of course a million miles away from dogmatic assertion. "On the question of whether we are physical beings or not, the case should be closed." This is one of the three facts about ourselves that are central to understanding the Ego Trick.

DMT Vaults : Extraction : QT's DMT Extraction Guide NOTE OF WARNING:QT's DMT Extraction for Students is archived by Erowid as a historical document. The process as described has been critiqued as flawed and dangerous several ways. Safer and more effective DMT extraction and purification techniques have been developed and made available in the years since the document below was created. For one such process, see Noman's "DMT for the Masses". Specific concerns regarding QT's tek, detailed below, were sent to Erowid on behalf of the community at The DMT Nexus, who note: "Time and time again, people have come to The DMT Nexus or other web forums because they were following QT's tek and it either didn't work or they ran into serious issues trying to follow it. Health and Safety Concerns 1) The tek recommends using hydrochloric acid without appropriate guidance on safe handling. 2) While the tek mentions the health hazards of working with dichloromethane (DCM), it fails to note the flammability hazards of naphtha and ether. The Hidden Brain: How Our Unconscious Minds Elect Presidents, Control Markets, Wage Wars, and Save Our Lives: Amazon.co.uk: Shankar Vedantam This book by journalist Shankar Vedantam is yet another contribution to the interesting and important genre I like to call "why smart people do dumb things." The basic idea with all of these books is that our minds have conscious and unconscious parts. The conscious mind is rational, analytic, slow, deliberate, evolutionarily more recent, and is the part we most closely associate with our identity. By contrast, the unconscious mind takes heuristic shortcuts (leaps to conclusions), is multitasking and quick, is evolutionarily more primitive, and is inaccessible to introspection, so we're not usually aware of its activity (hence the term "hidden brain"). The heuristics employed by the hidden brain are essential and usually useful, including keeping our behavior in line with moral and legal norms, but they can also cause various inappropriate biases which can lead to serious errors of judgment in all domains of life, both individual and social. If all of this sounds familiar, it should.

Ayahuasca Info The Master and His Emissary The Master and His Emissary: The Divided Brain and the Making of the Western World is a 2009 book written by Iain McGilchrist that deals with the specialist hemispheric functioning of the brain. The differing world views of the right and left brain (the "Master" and "emissary" in the title, respectively) have, according to the author, shaped Western culture since the time of the ancient Greek philosopher Plato, and the growing conflict between these views has implications for the way the modern world is changing.[1] In part, McGilchrist's book, which is the product of twenty years of research,[2] reviews the evidence of previous related research and theories, and based on this and cultural evidence, the author arrives at his own conclusions. The Master and His Emissary received mostly favourable reviews upon its publication. Critics praised the book as being a landmark publication that could alter readers' perspective of how they viewed the world; A.C. Background and influences[edit]
