Nielsen Norman Group: UX Training, Consulting, & Research Top 10 Universities With Free Courses Online #1 UC Berkeley Ranked as the #1 public school in the United States, Berkeley offers podcasts and webcasts of amazing professors lecturing. Each course has an RSS feed so you can track each new lecture. For printable assignments and notes you can check the professors homepage, which is usually given in the first lecture or google his name. Even though the notes, homework and tests are not directly printed in the berkeley website, as they are in MIT and other courseware sites, it's not a problem to find them. I personally tried to use it for John Wawrzynek's machine structures class and the nutrition courses. FT中文网 - 全球财经精粹 6 Things the Film Industry Doesn’t Want You to Know About All this week, Film School Rejects presents a daily dose of our favorite articles from the archive. Originally published in September 2011, Ashe Cantrell pulls back the curtain on the Hollywood conspiracy machine… You may already be a film industry cynic. I’m not here to dissuade you of any of that. But first, I’d like to give a very huge shout out and thank you to writers C. And now back to the shit storm, already in progress: 6. Here’s a basic example of Hollywood Accounting: A studio makes a movie. Sound ridiculous? Similarly, someone leaked Warner Bros.’ accounting sheet for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix onto the internet, showing that the film that had grossed about $1 billion worldwide had lost $167 million on paper. Winston Groom, the writer of Forrest Gump was told that the film based on his work wasn’t profitable.

Obsolete On my other Tumblr site, Internet For Dogs, I just experimented for the first time with Poladroid, a little program that lets you upload a photo through a small widget that looks like a Polaroid camera. Drag the digital photo onto the camera and then you see it develop in slow, Polaroid fashion, fading from a kind of murky gold into the colors of your picture. You can stop the developing any time if you want an only under-developed, murky gold picture. Or, you can try to have some patience and wait until it’s done. I couldn’t wait! That’s why this shot looks a little yellow-y. I was hesitating about using this picture: I think the Polaroid white picture frame motif is overused these days. The subject of this photo is the Silver Jews’ David Berman and his dog, Gittel. Miss the scent of newsprint? As hard as he tried, MLK could not get cell service in the South.
