Techniques > Using Body Language > Parts-of-the-body language You can send signals with individual parts of the body as well as in concert. Here's details of the contributions of each part of the body. Head We look a lot at the other person's head, which is used to send many signals to us. Many are subconscious, which can be very useful. Arms We often talk with our arms, windmilling as we describe with arms and hands what we are saying. Torso The torso, though often ignored, contains the main mass of the body and can give important signals. Legs The legs often betray body language when the person is trying to control their body (and often forget the lower half). See also Using Body Language

Five Documentaries You NEED To Watch On Netflix As Of 11/13/13 Documentaries offer you something very few fictional films can. You walk away from them smarter than you were when you showed up. That is how documentaries work. They often find a single subject, and focus their energy on informing those who don’t seem to know enough about it. Did you know punk was actually and unofficially started in 1974 by a three young black guys out of Detroit who formed a band named Death? Not only did this open my eyes to how we stereotype cultures based on music, but it introduced me to a band whose music I have had a slight obsession with ever since. Also, try not to get chills when you hear how David knew people would come looking for the music, so he stored it in his brother’s attic and made him promise to release it when the time comes. I will give you this disclaimer right now. Yet NOTHING ever stopped him. That is the point of this film. He knew what he wanted to do, what he needed to do it, and he stopped at nothing to realize all of his dreams. Bahhhhh.

Mental Rebuilding" Progress and harmony: If you want, you can choose good. The agent introduces a new belief system as the path to "good." At this stage, the agent stops the abuse, offering the target physical comfort and mental calm in conjunction with the new belief system. The target is made to feel that it is he who must choose between old and new, giving the target the sense that his fate is in his own hands. The target has already denounced his old belief system in response to leniency and torment, and making a "conscious choice" in favor of the contrasting belief system helps to further relieve his guilt: If he truly believes, then he really didn't betray anyone. The choice is not a difficult one: The new identity is safe and desirable because it is nothing like the one that led to his breakdown.Final confession and rebirth: I choose good.Contrasting the agony of the old with the peacefulness of the new, the target chooses the new identity, clinging to it like a life preserver.
