Quick bread in a bottle Cool weather puts us in the mood to bake. So why not give a friend a head start? Layer the dry ingredients from step 1 (below) for this easy quick bread into a milk bottle or 1-quart mason jar. To fit, tamp each layer well (with chips and nuts on top). Then all that's left is to add the wet ingredients and bake. We used craft paper adhered with double-stick tape to cover the original milk bottle graphics and the lid. Add a label on the back of the bottle for the recipe instructions. Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Quick Bread 1. 2. 3. 4. Looking for milk bottles? A Subtle Revelry | dog treat birthday candles • A Subtle Revelry Our sweet pup turned six this month and we threw a little doggie birthday party! These doggie bone treat candles make me just giddy. They were really fun to light and sing around. Once we cut off the charred end they became an eatable present for our family’s loyalest friend. To make the dog bone candles break apart a thick rope toy into smaller rope sections and wrap them individually in the dog pretzel dough. To make the pretzel dough combine 1 tsp brown sugar, 2 tsp active dry yeast, 3/4 cups whole wheat flour, 1/4 cup dry milk, 1/2 tbsp salt.

Petscaping Your Garden "Petscaping" your Garden Creating a garden space in the smallest yard or patio for your dog or cat can be accomplished by planting edible grasses, herbs and flowers in a container for your pet to enjoy. The fragrance and appearance of plants and flowers are a source of enjoyment for you and your pets. Pets will often consume flowers and foliage, which is not a problem if non-toxic plants are available for them to enjoy. Like their wild ancestors, our domestic dogs and cats consume grasses and other plants probably in an attempt to self-medicate and possibly to supplement a diet of mainly processed food. This container garden can also be useful as a training tool to keep your pet away from areas that are not for her consumption. Hardy, edible plants for a container garden: Millet grass Lemon Grass Catnip/catmint Oregano Nastursium Pansies, violas, violets Coneflowers (Echinacea) Contact Creekside Critter Care for more pet friendly garden ideas!

Welcome to the International Indian Dog Owners and Breeders Association website! Peanut Butter and Banana Dog Treats Ya wanna know a fun fact about me? I think dogs are kinda gross. They sniff and lick and, I’m not sure if you know this or not, but they don’t even use toilet paper after they potty. But, then again, I’ve never had a dog and I’ve spent my entire life avoiding everyone else’s dogs, so what do I know? I decided I’d had enough. I bought a dog. Her sniffs are adorable, her licks are precious, and okay, toilet paper would make her even better, but it’s totally not a deal breaker. Oh, also? I’m in love. The dough for these rolls out very easy so long as you use plenty of flour for your work surface and the top of your dough. crafting Gift Recipe: Homemade Dog Treats — Recipes from The Kitchn While we're coming up with special treats for one another during the holidays, let's not forget our four-legged companions. The canines in our lives aren't necessarily looking for the sweets that we indulge in this time of year, but their tastebuds will thank you for this little bit of bacon-y goodness. Whether the lucky pup belongs to you or a friend, these treats will make them your loyal lover for life. This recipe is also very simple, with base of wheat germ, egg, and bacon fat. Some ideas for easy add-ins: parsley (a natural breath freshener for us and for our dogs), natural peanut butter for a boost of protein, pureed spinach for a healthy kick, or even leftover pumpkin puree. I simply cut these into approximately 1x4-inch bars, but you can also use bone- or heart-shaped cookie cutters to shape this rolled dough. Homemade Doggie Treats Makes 2 dozen treats 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour 1/2 cup wheat germ 1/2 cup melted bacon fat 1 large egg 1/2 cup cold water
