Veille et Analyse TICE – Partager, débattre et apprendre Il arrive parfois que les médias traditionnels ne soient pas suffisamment vigilants à propos de la qualité de leurs publication. Les médias de flux relaient désormais leurs titres sur les réseaux de toute nature, sociaux en particulier ainsi que par les notifications personnalisées. Dès lors les titres de ces notifications se doivent d’accrocher le lecteur, d’appâter sa curiosité. Le revers de cette pratique est que ces titres sont parfois à relativiser, à vérifier ou même faux. Quant aux articles qui les sous-tendent, ils ont parfois le même travers. Une illustration : quand Télérama change les titres de ses articles… (comme le Monde à propos des gardes d’enfants et des puéricultrices, il y a quelques semaines, durant cet été 2022). Ce 2 aout 2022 au matin, je suis alerté par ce titre proposé par Télérama (notification automatique) : « Sur Youtube, le mythe de l’autodidacte a bon dos chez les vidéastes stars de la plateforme internet ». The Guide | FOLD Creating a stimulating task is an essential part of successful online discussion. We look for tasks which can intrinsically motivate students’ participation but also meaningfully link their discussion to learning outcomes. Tasks that are engaging are designed around a problem where students are set to achieve a common goal such as searching for missing information and finding a solution to the problem. To stimulate a debate and provoke the expression of different, or even contradictory points of view, the task needs to include an element of controversy, such as in a case where a disagreement between the characters is presented. The authenticity of the case would allow students to draw on insights from relevant prior experience, e.g. life, work and education (Herrington, Reeves & Oliver, 2010).
