The 30-minute film, opening November 11 at the Charles Hayden Planetarium, is a result of a unique collaboration between Brown and the Museum over the last four years. The story, however, was inspired long before that by Brown’s childhood visits to the Museum. “As the child of a mathematics professor and a Christian church organist, I’ve always been fascinated with the interplay between science and religion—two different languages attempting to answer life’s most profound questions,” said Brown. “These contrasting viewpoints are central to my novels, and I’m thrilled to be collaborating with the Boston Museum of Science on this thought-provoking project, which explores these captivating topics through the uniquely immersive experience of the planetarium."

They’re called Slutty Brownies because they’re oh so easy, and more than a little bit filthy. They’re best served warm from the oven, with good quality vanilla ice cream (devastatingly I didn’t have any in the freezer this time, so I guess I’ll just have to make them again). They take about 45mins to make, including baking time. The ultimate comfort food, whipped up within the hour. You will need… 1 Box of cookie mix, 1 Box of brownie mix, 2 Eggs, 2 Packs of Oreos (double stuffed ones are even better if you can find them) Some oil & your favourite ice-cream (optional) Preheat your oven to 350F, 180C, gas mark 4. Line a baking tray with grease proof paper. Squidge (technical term) the cookie dough into a lined baking tray, until it covers the bottom. Cover this layer with your Oreos. The Simple Logical Puzzle That Shows How Illogical People Are In the 1960s, the English psychologist Peter Wason devised an experiment that would revolutionize his field. This clever puzzle, known as the “Wason selection task,” is often claimed to be “the single most investigated experimental paradigm in the psychology of reasoning,” in the words of one textbook author. Wason was a funny and clever man and an idiosyncratic thinker. His great insight was to treat reasoning as an enigma, something to scrutinize both critically and playfully. These delicious tasty treats can be eaten morning, noon, or night, as a snack or as dessert. These fritters are so easy to make and will satisfy any craving you may have. So if you have a few of these bananas lying around your hose… don’t toss them, put them to GREAT use! Enjoy! Peel and mash the ripe bananas. Beat egg, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Next, blend egg mixture with mashed bananas. Make sure it is all incorporated. Then sift flour and baking powder into the banana/egg mixture. Mix it all together. If the batter seems to be too thick add a little milk… I added about 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of milk. Add oil to a frying pan and place on medium high heat. Drop spoonfuls of the banana fritter batter into the hot oiled frying pan. Flip when you see the edges starting to get brown and golden.
