JRCM :: Rebuilding A Nation TEXT: Matthew 5:13-16 "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty {again?} It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. You are the light of the world. We have seen the evil government in Iraq fall and we have helped rebuild it to some degree. There is another nation that needs to be rebuilt spiritually, morally, militarily and economically—the United States. Donald R. Muhammad did not see a good example of a Jew or Christian, according to Dr. A. Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you; but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing, so that also at the revelation of His glory you may rejoice with exultation. B. A. Those who reject Christ will spend an eternity in hell: B. C. A. Christians will serve as salt. B. We become the conscience of the nation.

Worthy Christian News How I found God and peace with my atheist brother: PETER HITCHENS traces his journey back to Christianity Updated: 14:25 GMT, 16 December 2011 During his teenage years and early 20s, Peter Hitchens lost his faith and rebelled against everything he had been brought up to believe in. Here, in a moving and thought-provoking account from his controversial new book, he describes his spiritual journey back to God - and the end of his feud with his brother I set fire to my Bible on the playing fields of my Cambridge boarding school one bright, windy spring afternoon in 1967. I was 15 years old. Only after much blowing and encouragement did I manage to get it to ignite at all, and I was left with a disagreeable, half-charred mess. Most of my small invited audience drifted away long before I had finished, disappointed by the anticlimax and the pettiness of the thing. It would be many years before I would feel a slight shiver of unease about my act of desecration. In truth, it was not much of a Bible. But this was my Year Zero. Peter cycles through Normandy in 1982 I no longer avoided churches.

Theology An Introduction to the Doctrines of the Christian Faith The pages listed below were written seeking to accurately express the teaching of the Bible on each subject in an "introduction and overview" format. iBethel.TV // Bethel Church // Home Page Bible Questions Answered The Trinity Seven Assurances the Resurrection Gives March 30, 2013|11:58 am Auguste Comte, a French philosopher and skeptic, was once belittling English writer, Thomas Carlyle, for his faith in Jesus Christ. Comte suggested that he might start a religion of his own to replace Christianity. "Very good," responded Carlyle. No religion in the world can match the claims of Christianity. Indeed, and the ramifications of that one event in human history – the resurrection of Jesus – gives us seven great assurances for life. 1. The Bible says, "He [Jesus] was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification" (Rom. 4:25). Follow us Get CP eNewsletter ›› 2. The Bible says, "Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. 3. The Bible says, [Jesus said], "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matt. 28:20). 4. The Bible says, "Who is to condemn? 5. The Bible says, "I want to know Christ-yes, to know the power of his resurrection" (Phil. 3:10). 6. 7. Happy Easter! References: Rev.

Malcolm Muggeridge's Jesus JESUS by Malcolm Muggeridge "Jesus did not come into the world to found a Church but to proclaim a Kingdom - the two being by no means the same thing." If Jesus chose Peter to be the rock on which his church was to be founded, thereby in effect nominating him to be the first of a long line of his Vicars on earth, there have been many mundane intruders into this spiritual domain, from the Emperor Constantine onwards. To those who like myself, rightly or wrongly, have become convinced that what is called 'Western civilization' is irretrievably over, and that another Dark Age is upon us, this seeming collapse of the Church is desolating. We bemoan the passing of a liturgy in which we never participated, of high virtues which we never practiced, of an obedience we never accorded and an orthodoxy we never accepted and often ridiculed. I was hungry, and you gave me meat. And he said to them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. It effectively shut him up. How vivid the scene is!

David Platt's Secret Church Gathering to Discuss 'Heaven, Hell, and the End of the World' March 28, 2013|10:13 am (Photo: Facebook/Official David Platt Page)Pastor David Platt of The Church at Brook Hills in Birmingham, Ala., is seen in this photo shared on his Facebook page in 2012. Bestselling author and Christian minister David Platt will be teaching on the end times in the upcoming Secret Church meeting that expects to virtually gather anywhere from 50,000-60,000 Christians in over 50 countries in a six-hour simulcast scheduled for Good Friday, March 29. The theme of the upcoming Secret Church global gathering is "Heaven, Hell, and the End of the World," and will have Platt speak to the confusion, fear and hope among Christians and non-Christians who may be unsure of what the Bible says about the afterlife. The Birmingham, Ala., preacher argues, however, that what is most important is what the Bible's eschatology, or end-times teaching, says about the Christian's life and purpose in the here and now. CP: Why preach on the subject "Heaven, Hell, and the End of the World"?

God vs. Science - God vs. Science by Maggie Shaver God vs. Science A science professor begins his school year with a lecture to the students, "Let me explain the problem science has with religion." "You're a Christian, aren't you, son?" "So you believe in God?" "Is God good?" "Is God all-powerful? "Are you good or evil?" The professor grins knowingly. "Yes sir, I would." "So you're good...!" "But why not say that? The student does not answer, so the professor continues. The student remains silent. "No, you can't, can you?" "Let's start again, young fella. "Is Satan good?" "Then where does Satan come from?" "That's right. "Evil's everywhere, isn't it? "Yes." So who created evil?" Again, the student has no answer. The student squirms on his feet. "So who created them?" The student does not answer again, so the professor repeats his question. The student's voice betrays him and cracks. The old man stops pacing. "No sir. "Then tell us if you've ever heard your Jesus?" "Have you ever felt your Jesus, tasted your Jesus or smelt your Jesus?
