VG Cats Sleep Deprivation Permalink: It's that damn voice that keeps telling me how I shouldn't let strangers touch my bags. And I know how bad they want to. LOLDWELL throwing a banana cream pie in the face of technology. The Joy of Tech is a comic about technology and pop culture, created by Nitrozac and Snaggy, and updated three times a week. We like to feature the people and events that are making today's tech and pop culture news. We've been making comics on the web since early 1999, starting off with After Y2K, and then The Joy of Tech, which is now in its whoa... 17th year! Cooking Comically A posted April 11, 2014 at 12:01 am ONE: Shortpacked! Book 5 is a stretch goal for this year's Kickstarter, and that unlocks at $40K. TWO: My third Slipshine story goes live on Monday, and it features Mike and Amber! Have those subscriptions ready! I look forward to the inevitable discussion about whether the above comic is spoilers or not, and, in the process, actually spoiling people for real, by your own hands. (there will probably actually be spoilers below in the comments, unrelated to whether the comic has them or not, so be warned) Tagged: captain america, marvel, nick fury, shield, the winter soldier, black widow

Manly Guys Doing Manly Things Sam and Fuzzy The New Deal The next chapter of the Sam and Fuzzy saga begins today! Over the next few weeks, all you long-time readers in the audience will learn exactly where and how all the different parts of our new epic fit in with everything that has come before them. But Volume 5 isn't purely for the die-hards. Yes, today is one of those fabled "jumping on" points for new readers -- something that happens pretty rarely around these epic, continuity-driven parts! Ever. -Sam PS: Unless there is. Crabby That's a wrap for "Crisis of Conscience"! Today is also the first installment of our new Q and A feature! "What percentage of the comic is done on paper and what percentage is digital?" A lot of my friends have long since switched over to tablets and cintiqs, but I still do pretty much all of my drawing on dead trees with pencils and pens. And yes... every once in awhile, I use the computer to fix mistakes, or to duplicate any visual elements that need to be repeated exactly in multiple panels. -Sam

Gutters It seems like these days the legal spats between creators and publishers, or creators themselves are taking up all the headlines on comic websites. Gary Friedrich is being counter-sued by Marvel after failing to win a share in the rights to Ghost Rider. The Kirby and Siegel families continue their pusuits and Archie Comics is doing battle in court against its very own CEO. Seriously, at this rate there is bound to be a Law & Order spinoff show set entirely in the comics world. Law & Order: Comic Intent. Come to think of it, I would watch that show… Any way, in the case presented here, we see Tony Moore and Robert Kirkman going head to head over alleged misdeeds when it comes to The Walking Dead. Hopefully they can resolve it (holding hands if at all possible) amicably and maybe their friendship can be spared. Today’s page was legally obtained from Paul Salvi: Paul Salvi is an attractive, successful artist. Take care, folks! -Moss
