the free encyclopedia 5 Simple Web Apps For Saving Time at Work This post originally appeared on the American Express OPEN Forum, where Mashable regularly contributes articles about leveraging social media and technology in small business. Much has been made of some excellent mobile and tablet apps that let users stay productive on the go. But let's face it — the majority of your work is still done at your desk, and much of it, perhaps, in a web browser. And despite all your settings, apps and software, there are always those little pain points that cost you time and productivity. They're not major issues, but little tasks that could be quicker and easier. Enter the humble web apps that, while overshadowed a bit by the smartphone revolution, are still the bread and butter bookmarks of daily workplace productivity. We've highlighted five free online tools that are simple, clean, and built to knock out those cumbersome work tasks, no downloads required. MEN! Var inte rädd för att förändra upplägget om du känner att någonting inte fungerar, ingenting är hugget i sten. Producera

No Signal? 5 Quick Ways to Boost Your Cell Phone Reception. Updated. Wise Bread Picks Anyone with a cell phone has suffered from those "no signal" or "service lost" moments. And they usually happen when your car has broken down or someone's chasing you through the forest with a large axe. Metacafe has once again come to my rescue on this one, it's a great resource for those how-to videos I love so much. 1. Very simple and cheap method using insulated wire. 2. This one got me from zero bars to three bars, in an area I never get a signal in. 3. This one didn't work as well as I had hoped, but it did give me an extra bar (which is great when you have zero bars). 4. Hands down the easiest one I found. 5. From YouTube. Of course, I'm always open to new ideas so if you have any better ways to boost your signal, let us know. <A HREF="

Write.fm Makes Sharing Text and Files Amazingly Simple I love simple solutions to common problems. Write.fm is one of those services that manages to reduce the number of steps to do a task — in this case, sharing simple text messages and files of any kind — to the absolute minimum. Hailing from Anthony Feint, the same developer who brought us the simple, intuitive web-based task manager Task.fm, Write.fm is perhaps best described as a cross between a URL shortener, cloud-based notepad and a simple file sharing service. Originally, the service was just for sharing text; file sharing was added recently. Open it, and you're greeted with a text input field and an "add file" icon that lets you choose and upload any file from your disk drive. Other options that come to mind — such as password protection — are nowhere to be found, but perhaps it's too much to ask from a project that aims, first and foremost, to be simple and easy to use. 5 Tips How To Make Firefox Superefficient — Tech Janitor I’m a lazy person. I don’t want to waste time and energy for something, if it can be done more easily and efficiently. And because I’m lazy, I made my Firefox install superefficient, so I can do the main tasks with little energy and time wasted. In this post I’m going to show you how I’ve done that. It requires a few Add-ons, some tweaking and the learning of some important keyboard shortcuts. Lazy Tip #1: Use Mouse Gestures With the use of mouse gestures you can save a lot of time and energy. Closing a tab is as easy as holding the right mouse button and dragging it down and then right. Download The FireGestures Add-on Now after you’ve learned how cool mouse gestures are, go download the FireGestures Add-on and install it. Installed the Add-on? Now it’s time to learn the gestures. Basic gestures All these gestures are made by holding the right mouse button and making moves while pressed.
