Izrael je válečný zločinec, tvrdí Amnesty International Londýn - Izrael se dopustil válečných zločinů a během dvaadvacetidenní operace v Gaze na přelomu roku záměrně zabíjel civilisty. Tvrdí to zpráva nezávislé lidskoprávní organizace Amnesty International (AI). Amnesty International z válečných zločinů obvinila také palestinské hnutí Hamás, které se Izrael během ofenzivy snažil rozdrtit. Izraelská vláda kritiku vedení bojů odmítá, podle ní se armáda řídila mezinárodním právem. Podle vyšetřovací komise AI zahynulo ve válce mezi 27. prosincem a 17. lednem přibližně 1400 Palestinců, z toho více než 900 byli civilisté, včetně 300 dětí a 115 žen. Izraelské statistiky hovoří naproti tomu o 1166 mrtvých Palestincích, mezi kterými bylo 295 civilistů. Kritika předsednictví Amnesty International kritizuje i české předsednictví, které prý nebylo údajně vůči Izraeli během války dostatečně důrazné.
