Geek Class | Impara a usare Arduino per i tuoi progetti playground - MaxSonar with MaxSonar ultrasonic rangefinder Library A library is available at It features: Inputs: TX, PW and AN Models: LV, XL and HRLV Filters: NONE, MEDIAN, HIGHEST_MODE, LOWEST_MODE, SIMPLE, BEST I recommend looking at the examples to get started with it. Manually This is a writeup on the MaxSonar ultrasonic range finder. First of All I used the LV-MaxSonar EZ1 but I imagine the fundamentals will be the same and can be applied to all the MaxSonar products. Please feel free to update the information here if you find different results for different products. There are 3 ways to interface the the MaxSonar. Analog. Analog //Feel free to use this code. //Analog pin 1 for reading in the analog voltage from the MaxSonar device. //variables needed to store valueslong anVolt, inches, cm;int sum=0;//Create sum variable so it can be averagedint avgrange=60;//Quantity of values to average (sample size) void setup() { void loop() { for(int i = 0; i < avgrange ; i++) { enjoy!

Dangerous Prototypes | A new open source hardware project every month Nederlands talige Arduino forum - Forumoverzicht Maxbotix LV-MaxSonar-EZ - random value drops Hello, I saw your forum post and have review your issue. Causes of Incorrect range readings (with a properly installed and properly powered sensor) Multiple Sensor Applications (Cross Talk)Ultrasonic Sensors output and receive sound information when taking a range reading. If multiple sensors are operational in the same environment this may cause one sensor to receive information sent by another sensor. To eliminate interference, we recommend running sensors in sequence. External acoustic noiseExternal acoustic noise sources may cause false range readings, that make phantom objects appear (i.e. readings are too close). Soft or angled targetsAlso soft targets or angled targets can be missed occasionally. Filtering in GeneralFor filtering, do not average. FilteringThe filtering that works best, is either a Mode filter or a Median filter. The Mode FilterThe mode filter would take the largest group of the same readings out of a set of even larger readings. Best regards,

Amzin.pdf Using the Maxbotix LV-MaxSonar in Serial Mode | Microcontroller Forum Tracker Continuing with my Robotics project it became time to integrate a Maxbotix LV-MaxSonar sensor for purposes of collision avoidance. I started working with the MaxSonar last month as one of my first Netduino projects. At that time I used the “DistanceClass” originally posted by Crispin. This class uses the analog output of the MaxSonar and once I got it running, with a little extra help from Crispin who reponded to my post regarding a perlplexing analog problem, I discovered what a great many other people have discovered: the analog output is very easy to use but it tends to be somewhat noisy, i.e. when measuring the distance to a fixed object while the sensor is stationary the repoted distance can vary by several inches for an object only a couple of feet away. I tried adding the capacitor/resistor circuit recommended by Maxbotix in their FAQs but it didn’t seem to make a meaningful difference. - Maxbotix Serial.jpg (6.88K) Number of downloads: 63
