Never Talk to the Police | Quick Hitts By Dave Hitt on Mar 31, 2010 in Featured, Police State What’s the best response when a cop asks you something? Silence, or a short, polite non-answer. Shut up. In the first part of the first video a fast talking law professor gives you detailed reasons why you should never talk to the police. This is part two, where a former police officer fills in the details. Here are some practical examples of how to legally preserve your rights in an encounter with police: Ok, after all that heavy duty stuff, we need a breather. Web Audio API Prototype II — Conway's Melodies Other Web Audio Experiments This experiment uses the classic rules for Conway's Game of Life to trigger sounds. A sound is created if a living cell has exactly 7 living neighbours. In the beginning (or by clicking Reset) some cells are defined as living randomly. The x-coordinate of a sounding cell determines the panorama (stereo position), the y-coordinate determines the pitch in twelve-tone equal temperament. Sounds are synthesized with a sine oscillator and sharply filtered noise. This might crash your browser tab in Chrome after a while – I don't know why yet, maybe it's a Bug! Start Conway's Melodies It works on iOS 6 (tested on iPad 2), but without Reverb. This web app doesn't use Flash to generate either the graphics (HTML5 canvas is used) nor the audio. My collection of funny emails from my inbox. Subject: 5 MINUTE MANAGEMENT COURSE Lesson 1: A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower, when the doorbell rings. Before she says a word, Bob says, "I'll give you $800 to drop that towel." After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob. After a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 and leaves. The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs. "Great!"
