Two crisp tortillas are filled with seasoned ground turkey, hearty beans, and then topped with chunky salsa, a three cheese blend, green onions, black olives, and diced ripe tomatoes. One of these days I hope we get a Trader Joe’s in our area, but for this recipe, I shopped at my local Fresh Market. Pita Bread Recipe | Blogger For Hire This pita bread recipe makes amazingly soft and fluffy pitas. If you’re in the U.S. and are used to the cardboard rounds sold at supermarkets here as “pita bread,” you’ll be amazed once you try the real thing. The yeasty, delicious aroma, the chewy texture and the delicate taste will get you hooked immediately. There’s one caveat though: once you try these, you won’t be able to go back to eating supermarket cardboard pita. The dough in this pita bread recipe is mixed by a bread machine. If you don’t have a bread machine, you can prepare the dough by hand. Makes 12 small pita bread rounds, or 4 servings Ingredients 1-1/4 cups warm milk (I use 2%) 2 tablespoons olive oil 3 cups bread flour (all-purpose should work) Up to 1/4 cup more for flouring the work surface 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar 3/4 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon rapid rise yeast or bread machine yeast Directions 1. This is what the dough looks like when you remove it from the machine. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Repeat with remaining dough. It’s true.

It may look like the paper wont hold its shape – but put it in the freezer for about half an hour, and you’ll be surprised. Next, blend up the graham crackers to a powder-like finish, and mix it up with the peanut butter. Unfortunately, we weren’t ready. The end result was better than I could have ever expected. DIY Gold Tube Bracelets I have very vivid memories of walking into a bead store for the first time, almost 15 years ago, and being overwhelmed by the million and ten ideas that filled my mind. I was immediately hooked on the concept of transforming simple and unexpected elements into something beautiful and wearable. That moment was the catalyst for my eventual path into jewelry design and craft – my higher calling, if you will. Today’s tutorial takes me back to my first foray into jewelry making, where I’ll show you how to make two delightful bracelets using the same basic component. For single, adjustable gold tube bracelets, you’ll need: Start by cutting the knotting cord into 2 12 inch pieces. And now, all that’s left is the sliding closure! . . . and bring the top cord under both the bottom and middle overlapping strands through the loop, into a knot. Repeat the same step on the right side. Continue to make 5-6 more knots. Trim away any excess cord. Your adjustable & colorful bracelets are done!

Tag Archive | how to make jerk chicken like jamaicans A bit of a bold statement and I’m sure my Jamaican friends are scratching their heads pondering why this “Trini” making such bold claims. One taste of this succulent jerk chicken after it comes out of the oven and you’ll know why it’s an “Ultimate” dish. Following on the other “Ultimate” recipes I’ve shared in the past, this one will not disappoint (search “Ultimate” on the right side of the page to see the other recipes in this category). Yes, traditional jerk is made on the grill with pimento wood as it’s base of flavor and while you can’t duplicate this in the oven, this one is very convenient for people who don’t have a grill or live in northern climates and have to deal with bitter cold winters. Personally a little snow and minus degree temperatures can’t keep me away from my grill, but lately I’ve found that I don’t brave the outdoors as much as I used to in the winter. NOTE: For the marinade for this you’ll need to refer to: A Classic Jamaican Jerk Marinade. You’ll Need…
