So over to Wink… This pattern uses US crochet terms – check out The Making Spot’s full list and conversions here You will need: a crochet hook (5mm)yarn (Stylecraft Special DK)a pair of scissorsa darning needle Let’s get started! 1. oh, sweet joy! All The Gold You Can Eat {Handmade Husband >> Work From Home Survival Guide} THE MOLD OF THE AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN BROKEN. Many SAHW’s {stay at home wives} I know have found their way into a business of one sort or another, or are running their household in new, more productive ways. I think to myself, people have not suddenly needed less sleep over the last 50 years, so how are people hammering through more and more all the time, especially when they still are relying solely on themselves for their motivation? Now, I don’t personally work from home, but my wife and best friend does. “Do your hair” — When you wake up, get totally ready to your expectations. “Make a list.” — Are you overwhelmed with all the things you need to do? “A motivation snag! “Get out” — Get some fresh air, and do something for yourself. “Clock out” — The workday is long enough. Do you use any of these strategies? If you’d like this column to continue, please send me questions.

Moonbeamwishes www.ladyslider.com Posy: My Creative Endeavors Yay, I actually did some sewing this weekend and oddly to easy myself into it I chose to make one of the most fiddliest/impractical things (size wise) I could. Mmm a blonde moment if ever there was one. Yeah, I made a bedspread in the discontinued Cath Kidston's Blue Rose Bouquet I found nearly 18 months ago. I also found an old Embroidery Anglais trim that fits the lampshade of my 'kindness' lamp perfectly. And it was new shoes time this week. I was trying to make the photo look casual with my legs nonchalantly crossed, but I ended up looking one legged and rather silly! No, our neighbours are lovely but definitely the sort of 'normal' people that keep fairy lights for Christmas.

My 200 Things Challenge | | This Is The Little LifeThis Is The Little Life A few months ago I decided to take on the 100 Thing Challenge during this school year, but once I decided to count both household and personal possessions, I knew my number would be bigger. As I finished Inventorying & Packing Up, I decided 200 was a good number. I’m currently at 198 things. a few totes stored in my friend’s basement I scratched my head for a while about how to count the things that I own but am not currently using and how to count the things that I’m currently using but don’t own. my sweet little bungalow rented out this year I’ll admit that my loophole is that in some cases I counted a container rather than all the items it contains. So I plan to live this next year with 200 items or less.

Moon to Moon a butterfly in my hair 50+ Stash Busters To Use Up Those Bits Of Yarn If you crochet or knit, chances are you have accumulated a large stash of yarn with partially used skeins in a variety of colors, many too small to use for most projects. Instead of gathering dust in your craft cupboard, here’s a list of free projects you can make featuring a variety items, some useful while others are more decorative or just for fun. If your skills are at the beginner level, small items like these are great for practicing new stitches or techniques (and reading patterns too). So far there are just over 30 projects listed below, I’ve separated them into two groups (crochet, knitting) for easier browsing. I’ll be adding more goodies to this collection as I find them so you may want to bookmark this page for future reference. Have fun! PS: Interested in thread projects?
