Idea by Janice Kamide Images Source BuzzFeed Cinnamon Sugar Pull-Apart Bread Looks yummy, right? And let me tell you, this cinnamon bread really is yummy! Immensely! I am actually so impressed by it that I would call it a gift from heaven. Okay, maybe not exactly from heaven since the original recipe was born in Joy the Baker’s kitchen. But that place actually, when I think about it, is a kind of little heaven… on earth. Dear friends, please prepare this delicious, finger-licking, soft, yeasty, cinnamony bread over the weekend for your family. If you wonder how, I’ll show you… Here’s the list of ingredients. 1. 2. 3. Secrets of really good chocolate chip cookies updated February 28, 2010 The recipe on the back of the Nestle Toll House Morsels [tm] bag makes fine cookies, and if you were to follow it precisely, you couldn't go too far wrong. However, based upon my own experience and that of others, I advise a few minor modifications and refinements. First, always use real butter. Another reason to use real butter instead of margarine or Crisco: HYDROGENATED FATS. Second, TRIPLE the amount of vanilla extract recommended. (Incidentally, vanilla is a wondrous and versatile substance. Third, and this can make a big difference, don't just let the butter sit out at room temperature to become soft. Also, if you're like me, you have often had a problem with your brown sugar clumping together into giant bricks, which you are then banging on the edge of the kitchen counter in order to break them up enough to use the stuff; still, big lumps of brown sugar survive even into the baked cookies. Fifth, if you like, try leaving out part of the sugar.

Living aboard a sailboat is living cheap Living aboard a sailboat was our favorite frugal retirement living lifestyle. For eight wonderful years we lived the life that Jimmy Buffett sings about. We will show you that we had very little experience when we started this adventure in 1994. We found the sailboat lifestyle to be healthy, safe, fun and a very inexpensive way of life... if we did it so can you. By little experience we mean we had never been aboard a sailboat in our lives when we took a four hour cruise ship shore excursion on a sailboat in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas United States Virgin Islands, in 1990. The timeline of this major lifestyle change Here is a brief outline of the steps that we took to go from zero boat experience to actually living on a sailboat four years later. For more detail we recommend our e-book "Live the dream... live on a sailboat in the Caribbean" Sailboat living in the Caribbean We were pleasantly surprised at how frugal sailboat living was.
