Keren Ann: un nouvel album marqué par l'amour, la naissance et la mort Après cinq ans d’absence discographique, Keren Ann revient avec un nouvel album, You’re Gonna Get Love, le 25 mars. Avant qu’elle devienne rédactrice en chef de Cheek pendant une semaine, on s’est entretenues avec elle. Le dernier disque de Keren Ann qu’on a posé sur nos platines/glissé dans nos iTunes s’intitulait 101. C’était en 2011, la musicienne arborait flingue et coupe au bol, et envoyait valser discrétion et politesse au son du tube discoïde My Name Is Trouble. Cinq ans plus tard, le personnage de bad girl a disparu, et l’on retrouve une Keren Ann à nu. Avec You’re Gonna Get Love, en partie financé par le crowdfunding et qui sortira le 25 mars, la songwriteuse cosmopolite, basée ces dernières années à Brooklyn, se raconte dans l’intimité de chansons émotives, troussées avec l’élégance et le savoir-faire qui ont bâti sa réputation et permis sa longévité. Keren Ann Zeidel prend l’air du temps à contre-courant, et a fait du songwriting sa profession de foi. Pas du tout! Tout.

Solange Knowles is the talented singer, song writer behind the hit "Sandcastle" and more. ELLE is the global fashion lifestyle magazine which has cemented a reputation for noticing global trends and having a number of international celebrities covers sold locally in Africa. News | Karen Zoid goes Under the Covers | Bizcommunity Following her sold-out collaboration with Freshlyground's Zolani Mahola, musician Karen Zoid goes Under the Covers for five nights at Cape Town's Theatre on the Bay. The unplugged show features all the songs she wishes she had written herself (as well as a few guilty pleasures), including hits by Lady Gaga, Leonard Cohen, Miriam Makeba, Modern Talking, Beethoven, The Beatles, and Queen. The intimate performance explores music that has influenced Zoid throughout her life and features special guests from The Africa Voices Trust . (This non-profit organisation, geared towards the development of talented and deserving young musicians, performed on Josh Groan's Straight to You tour.) Afrikaans- and English-speaking fans Since releasing her first solo album in 2002, Zoid has become an important part of the local rock scene.
