Εφτά γορίλες θα σου πω Ο μέγιστος γάλλος τραγουδοποιός Ζορζ Μπρασένς (1921-1981) έχει γράψει πολλά τραγούδια που μεταφράστηκαν σε άλλες γλώσσες, είτε από ποιητές για να διαβαστούν είτε από ομοτέχνους του τραγουδοποιούς για να τραγουδηθούν. Ένα από αυτά είναι ο Γορίλας (Le gorille), τραγούδι που υπάρχει στον πρώτο δίσκο του Μπρασένς (La mauvaise reputation, 1953) αλλά είχε γραφτεί τουλάχιστον πέντε χρόνια νωρίτερα. Μια διασκεδαστική ιστορία που όμως λειτούργησε και σαν καταδίκη της θανατικής ποινής (που τότε ίσχυε και εφαρμοζόταν στη Γαλλία), το τραγούδι κρίθηκε άσεμνο και απαγορεύτηκε αμέσως από τους γαλλικούς ραδιοφωνικούς σταθμούς για κάμποσα χρόνια. Εδώ βλέπουμε μια ζωντανή εκτέλεση από τον Μπρασένς, πολλά χρόνια αργότερα: Σε ελληνικούς στίχους, το τραγούδι όλοι το ξέρουμε από την εκτέλεση του Χρ. Τη μετάφραση του Βαρβέρη μπορούμε να τη χαρακτηρίσουμε ποιητική, επειδή κυκλοφόρησε σε βιβλίο χωρίς να έχει (απ’ όσο ξέρω) γίνει τραγούδι. In a good class, I have fun and learn a lot; in a bad class, I don’t have a good time and don’t learn very much. For me, receiving a good grade has nothing to do with whether the class is good or not. My first instinct is to judge a class’s quality on the material: my freshman year, I enjoyed my Japanese classes much more than my English classes, because reading literature and writing papers about it doesn’t excite me nearly as much as learning about Japanese pop culture does. However, subject matter being equal, the biggest influence on the quality of the class, and sometimes the most frustrating, is the teaching style of the professor. Some students just learn better from different styles of teaching than others. Professors who use PowerPoint tend to present topics very quickly when they don’t have to do anything but talk.

Members of the police riot squad beat demonstrators with batons and used pepper spray against them. At least five students were arrested. Zen Koans Database : English - Español Desde ace años vengo coleccionando Koans que me encuentro en la Red. Tambien desde hace años vengo diciendome que deberia montar una pequeña web y compartirlos con el resto del mundo. Despues de hacer el vago demasiado tiempo, por fin he tachado este proyecto de mi lista, asi les presento orgulloso: la Zen Koans Database! Ademas quiero matar dos pajaros de un tiro: quiero traducirlos todos al Español. Considerando el lenguage complicado y escuridizo que a veces utilizar estos, me toma bastante traducir algunos. Esto tampoco me preocupa demasiado, pues no tengo niguna prisa. Sin mas dilacion, aqui tienes la lista completa de Koans en Español, o puedes leer un Koan al azar en español. Por ultimo, tu ayuda es mas que bienvenida.
