{DIY} Fishtail Bracelet - Typical House Cat These DIY fishtail bracelets were a product of my impatience. I ordered a bunch of Chinese knotting cord to make this necklace and the cord arrived a couple of days before the rest of the supplies I needed. I immediately became obsessed with it, making all sort of macramé and friendship bracelets. You will need: 30 inches of Rattail or faux-suede cord80 inches of .8mm Chinese knotting cord (for a six-inch wrist, if you have a larger wrist I would add 10-15 inches of knotting cord per inch.)A stand-out button or hex nutA thread burnerA small box lidSome scrap rattail or yarn Fold the rattail for the bracelet in half and tie a knot so that you have a loop, keeping in mind the size of the button you are using as the clasp. Wrap it around your box lid length-wise and secure it with a double knot so it looks like this. Fold your knotting cord in half to find the center and place it under the knot. Make a knot at the bottom, using the rattail to cover-up the ends of the knotting cord. Like this:
Holst + Lee inspired rope bracelet I am loving rope jewelry right now. Bright, fun, tribal, and perfect for Spring. In my opinion, Holst + Lee does it the best. What you will need: Begin by taping your embroidery floss to the rope. Wrap your embroidery floss around the rope once, and then add the chain – wrapping in between the first two crystals. Continue to wrap, wrapping around 3x between each crystal. Hold it steadily, and wrap away. When you are halfway through, knot on your second color, and keep wrapping. (Go back and snip off the ends later.) Keep on wrapping… when you get to the end, tape the end down, just as you had done in the beginning. Apply a small drop of Gorilla Glue to each end, and slide on the end cap. Allow to dry for 1-2 hours. Thread your jump ring through the end of the cap and close it. Add your clasp… And voila, your bracelet is complete!
DIY Confetti Bowl Last weekend I made this DIY project with the boys, it's really easy to make and I can assure that you're gonna have fun! You'll need: confetti, one balloon, Mod Podge, a sponge and a small vase. Inflate your balloon, then insert it on to the vase so it's sturdier to work with. Add Mod Podge to the top half of the balloon with a sponge, then sprinkle confetti all over, you can remove your balloon from the vase and hold it to add the confetti on the sides. Turn your balloon and Pop it with a needle, I couldn't do this because I've always been afraid of the noise, but my little one was my hero ;D Now you'll have a colorful bowl! You could either let it with irregular edges, or you can cut them as I did. That's it! La voici donc selon un patron "pas de patron" dans un voile de coton indien acheté sur un groupe de vente d'occase de facebook. Tellement simple à mettre en oeuvre que je vous ai concocté un tuto pour vous refaire la même !! 1) d'abord on prend un rectangle de tissu (voile de coton, gaze, mousseline,satin de coton...toujours un tissu léger sinon vous aurez l'air toute compassée) de la largueur du tour de poitrine et de deux fois la hauteur désirée. on le plie en deux (pli en haut) - Ici j'ai pris un ancien paréo en gaze Bensimon offert par Biba il y a quelques années. j'adore ce tissu 2) on replie ce rectangle en deux (pli à droite), on a donc un rectangle de 4 épaisseurs de tissu et voilà !!
