Après ses études de design industriel réalisé à Madrid et Paris, il fait ses débuts chez Fabrica en Italie près de la petite ville de Trévise. Arrivée en 1997 il travaille très étroitement avec son mentor Oliviero Toscani qui peu de temps après le nomme à la tête du département design. En 2004, Hayon décide de se lancer à son compte, il s’installe donc à Barcelone et commence à travailler sur un certain nombre de projets tout en présentant son travail personnel dans les galeries d’art. Jaime hayon adopte une démarche hybride, décomplexée et joyeuse dans ses créations, plaçant au centre le savoir-faire et l’artisanat.

Fragiles at Design Miami Design Miami 07: Fragiles is an exhibition of over 50 contemporary ceramic and glass objects, on show at Design Miami from 6-9 December. Organised and curated by Die Gestalten Verlag, the exhibition will feature work by many designers - including Maxim Velcovsky (top), Tord Boontje and Emma Woffenden (above) and Malin Lundmark (below) - plus some specially commissioned pieces. Pei as August's Designer of the Month, but also Part 8 in a series that is almost complete, of pictures and stories from my recent trip to Japan. So let's get to it! OPEN STUDIOS - (Navigation privée) Kenji Uranishi Kenji is a ceramic artist from Japan. He moved to Brisbane, Australia in October 2004. He makes very beautiful and charming functional works as well as some one off art piece. Kenji works with porcelain and his porcelain technical skill is very high.
