Across the Universe ou À travers l'univers au Québec est un film musical britannique et américain de 2007 réalisé par Julie Taymor et écrit par Dick Clement et Ian La Frenais. Une histoire d'amour dans les années 1960, au cœur des manifestations anti-guerre, des voyages spirituels et du rock'n roll, qui part des docks de Liverpool vers le psychédélique Greenwich Village, des émeutes de Détroit aux champs de bataille du Viêt Nam. The Beatles, ‘Help!’ – Film Review When the Beatles began filming ‘Help!’ in February 1965, they were overworked and superpowered. Within the past two years they had released four albums, more than a dozen singles and a movie. Basically, they could do no wrong when they, along with director Richard Lester (who helmed their 1964 film debut ‘A Hard Day’s Night’), went to the Bahamas to start work on ‘Help!’ No matter what they came up with, it would be a hit. Guaranteed. Things could have turned out a whole lot worse, or better, depending on your perspective and given the movie’s production history. The plot is barely there: A sacred ring used in an ancient sacrifice ends up stuck on Ringo’s finger. So ‘Help!’ But the Blu-ray remaster (taken from the 2007 DVD) looks great. The Beatles Tuesday 28/02/2014: Last night artists gathered to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Beatles first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show during the band's first visit to the US. The incredible list of musicians and artists who joined Paul and Ringo on stage included Stevie Wonder, Katy Perry, John Mayer, Alicia Keys, Dhani Harrison performing alongside Joe Walsh and Jeff Lynne, Pharrell Williams singing with the cast of The Beatles LOVE show, Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart reunited as Eurythmics, Sean Penn, Kate Beckinsale and Johnny Depp, L L Cool J, Monty Python's Eric Idle, Ed Sheeran, Dave Grohl and Maroon 5. The two-hour show will tape on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, the day after the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards, and will be broadcast in HDTV and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, from 8–10 p.m. ET/PT — exactly 50 years to the day, date and time of the original event.
4 September 1968: Promotional films for Hey Jude and Revolution On this day The Beatles filmed promotional films for Hey Jude and Revolution at Twickenham Film Studios. They arrived at the studios at 1.30pm and worked until evening. The set, at the studio’s stage one, had been assembled over the previous three days. Only The Beatles’ lead and backing vocals were recorded live, although instruments and amplifiers were set up. The completed films – two for each song, both in colour – were directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg, whom had worked with The Beatles on the clips for Paperback Writer and Rain in 1966. Hey Jude was the first to be made, and featured Paul McCartney seated at an upright piano, John Lennon and George Harrison on a nearby podium with guitars, and Ringo Starr positioned on a drum riser behind them. A 36-piece orchestra was also assembled, the members wearing white tuxedos, and 300 extras were brought in for the finale. Après plusieurs tentatives pour voler l'anneau (tronçonneuse, canne à lancer, distributeurs piégés, ascenseurs magnétisés), la secte confronte Ringo aves ses compères dans un restaurant indien. Ensuite, ils cherchent un bijoutier pour l'enlever mais les outils que ce dernier utilise finissent en mille morceaux. Ahme, maintenant amie avec le groupe, les prévient que sa sœur, qui avait été choisie pour être sacrifiée à Kaili, est maintenant hors de danger. Afin d’échapper à la secte Kaili, les Beatles décident de fuir l'Angleterre et se réfugient à Obertauern dans les alpes autrichiennes. Les Beatles s'aperçoivent qu'ils sont toujours pourchassés et vont donc demander protection à Scotland Yard.
Help! (film) An eastern cult (a parody of the Thuggee cult) is about to sacrifice a woman to the goddess Kaili. Just as she is about to be killed, the high priestess of the cult, Ahme, notices that she is not wearing the sacrificial ring. Ringo Starr, drummer of the Beatles, has and is wearing it; it was secretly sent to him by Ahme, to protect the victim, her sister. Determined to retrieve the ring and sacrifice the woman, the great Swami Clang, Ahme, and several cult members including Bhuta, leave for London. After several failed attempts to steal the ring, they confront the Beatles in an Indian restaurant. Ringo learns that if he does not return the ring soon, he will become the next sacrifice. Next, the Beatles seek a jeweller to remove the ring, but the tools he uses all break. Ahme, now revealed as being on the group's side, tells the group that her sister's time has passed and she is now out of danger. The boys are seen in a field. "The movie was out of our control.
