Квадрат у основи, подељен на два дела. Огњиште, спаваћа соба, славска соба и обавезан трем. То су основни елементи традиционалне српске куће, мада свако поднебље има свој стил – моравски, шумадијски, златиборски, косовски, сремски, банатски. Златиборска кућа је за многе најлепша, али је и на овој планини реткост. Наше куће по Србији својим обликом остављају утисак као да се налазите на некој падини Алпа или усред Медитерана, због равних или изломљених кровова, који се у нашем градитељству обилато користе. Желећи да оживи заборављену традицију Министарство грађевинарства и урбанизма покренуло је акцију градње српских кућа. – Материјале је налазио у окружењу и тако здања уклапао у природну целину. – Наша идеја је да радимо на промоцији српског националног идентитета и да се држава на неки начин врати себи.
