Top 10 How-to Cooking Videos One the subject of Chalice Chicken (beer can, thrown, whatever your family calls it): It is not the moisture in the can that keeps the chicken moist and juicy. It is the can and the liquids mass that absorb the heat in the center of the bird, lengthening the cooking time of the breast meat to ensure the meat is not over cooked before the thighs have cooked through. The target temp of the breast is about 160, and the thighs about 180. Pull early and let carry over do the rest. Basting will dry out the chicken by lengthening the cooking time. If the bird doesnt brown the way you like during one of your experiments, use a propane torch and brown the skin. They now sell a can holder for this cooking method. My favorite wash is soy and cock sauce.

This recipe is the second of many cookie recipes on my list to make this holiday season. Sweets are taking over my life! Just ask my coworkers. Brownie Batter Chocolate Fudge Cupcakes 98K+Pin It With Outrageously Rich Chocolate Indulgence Frosting. AKA The Mega. Extreme. Chocolate. Overdose. Almost immediately after making the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcakes, I got the idea for a rich, decadent massively chocolate brownie batter cupcake, and I haven’t been able to get them outta my head since! To all the chocolate lovers in the house… This is for you. It all starts with the brownie batter – this is seriously one of my favorite chocolate batter mixes ever. It only calls for 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk though, and since I hate recipes that only call for a little bit of something in a can, leaving me wondering what the heck I’m supposed to do with the rest of it, go ahead and make this easy, no machine required homemade ice cream. Use your trusty 1.5 tbsp scoop to drop spoonfuls of brownie batter onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze overnight. The next day, get ready to bake the best chocolate cupcakes ever. Mmm, chocolate chips. Here it is.
Mac & Cheese I am *in love* with this simple, no-frills mac and cheese. :) My granny used to make this all the time- she knew it was my favorite and always had it ready whenever I came to visit. :) It’s a delicious quick-and-easy side dish- no fancy or unnecessary ingredients, just pure, unadulterated mac and cheese. :D It’s definitely one of my go-to meals- I almost always have all the ingredients on hand- and the baking time / temp isn’t too picky so I can usually just pop it in the oven with whatever my main dish is. :) The ingredients: noodles, butter, salt, shredded cheese and milk Boil and drain noodles in salted water. Since it’s just the two of us, I boiled 2 cups of penne pasta. Top with plenty of the good stuff- shredded cheese. Repeat layers of noodles, salt, butter and cheese until you run out of noodles. Now the milk. Bake, uncovered, in a preheated oven for about 30 minutes. Oh, man, it’s so good. :) The perfect complement to any main dish. Speaking of seasonings, I love them.
One Bowl Vanilla Cupcakes For Two Let’s face it: sometimes we all need a dessert that only makes two servings. Sometimes we just can’t handle 12 servings. Sometimes we eat them all by ourselves. Sometimes we eat them all by ourselves in two hours. Sometimes we eat them all by ourselves in a matter of minutes. FYI: I have no idea what that is like. Haven’t you always wished you could make just enough dessert for yourself? Or… just yourself? Me too. But more often than not, I’ve found it to be a hassle to drag out the mixer, cream the sugar and butter, sift the dry ingredients and all that fun stuff for a measly two cupcakes. What can I say? Well, I was lazy. It is definitely your typical white cake; fluffy and soft, full of vanilla flavor, and the perfect vehicle for some fluffy white frosting. And it only takes one bowl! I think what I love most about these cupcakes is their customizability. Personal Pan Fruit Pizzas with Whole Wheat Cinnamon Sugared Crust. I currently have the world’s worst sunburn. Well, that’s probably a lie. I slightly dramatize every single aspect of my life and my red forehead, chest and shoulders are taking the heat today. That really has nothing to do with these fruit pizzas I want to re-shove in my face, but I needed to get it off my chest. So. But I neeeeeed this pizza today. I knocked this idea off of my traditional fruit pizza that is a scrumptious sugar bomb. I love that stuff. And you get to eat a giant biscuit-like cookie that is… whole wheat. Personal Pan Fruit Pizzas with Whole Wheat Cinnamon Sugared Crust [crust adapted from food.com] makes 4 pizzas 1 1/4 cups whole wheat pastry flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 3 tablespoons brown sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 1/3 cup milk 2 tablespoons olive oil 3/4 cup whipped cream cheese 1 tablespoon brown sugar assorted fruit: blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, peaches, kiwi, bananas, etc. 2 tablespoons sugar + 2 teaspoons cinnamon for cinnamon sugar Ouch.
