DIAM Diffusion - Librairie musicale de partitions sur Internet « À force d’aller au fond des choses, on y reste. » Jean Cocteau Photographe professionnel et passionné de guitare classique, j’ai voulu créer, il y a bientôt trois ans, un magazine élégant et raffiné, qui rende hommage aux luthiers, à l'histoire de l'instrument et à son environnement culturel. Le n° 1 du magazine Orfeo a vu le jour en février 2013, publié en trois langues, français, anglais et espagnol, avec la vocation d’être uniquement diffusé gratuitement sur internet pour en assurer un accès facile, international et une large diffusion. Les compliments que j’ai reçus, mais surtout les nombreuses demandes m’ont incité à envisager une édition imprimée, car beaucoup de lecteurs d’Orfeo regrettent la difficulté de sa lecture à l'écran, les accès parfois très lents aux pages et l'impossibilité de lire le magazine en tout lieu, autrement que devant son ordinateur ou sa tablette. Funny Rag / Toon's Rag I've long been a fully paid up member of Tisserand's fan club, and so it should come as no surprise that to me this writer hits the nail on the head every time.These two modest little fun duets are both rags, and both written in straight rhythms on the page, with the instruction to make the quavers into a triplet of quavers.Funny Rag is, as you might guess, full of humour with lots of bluesy melodies and quirky rhythmic ideas, with a memorable main theme and lots of light-hearted antics along the way. The coda comes about after a gradual build up of notes leading to a run in both parts of triplet quavers and a humorous almost throwaway ending: lovely.Toon's Rag begins with staccato seventh chords sliding down the fingerboard, leading into a cheeky little tune built on a glissando.
Rencontres internationales de la guitare | Ville d'Antony Les Rencontres internationales de la guitare reviennent du 27 au 31 mars 2019. Ce festival permet de découvrir les multiples facettes du célèbre instrument à cordes en compagnie des meilleurs musiciens de tous les horizons. En parallèle, un concours international de guitare est organisé. Les Rencontres internationales de la guitare représentent l'occasion de voyager à travers le monde et de découvrir une grande diversité d'esthétiques musicales, entre musique classique et inspirations populaires. Pour cette 27e édition, elles plongeront à la fois dans les rythmes argentins et les sonorités des Balkans. Le festival débutera au rythme du tango, avec un trio composé de la chanteuse Ana Karina Rossi, du guitariste Alfonso Pacin et de la bandonéoniste Marisa Mercadé, suivi d’un hommage au grand compositeur et interprète argentin Raúl Maldonado qui sera accompagné d’une pléiade de guitaristes et amis. image uploaded by @ycbluesgroove Our Great Solace in Our Great Need "Born in 1670 in County Meath, Ireland, Turlough O'Carolan was a harpist, composer and singer whose music has been passed down over the generations and has made him a national musical figure. Blind (from smallpox) from the age of 18, this did not stop him traversing the length and breadth of Ireland and composing well over 200 compositions. This new publication contains just twelve of O'Carolan's harp pieces; Pascal Bournet has chosen well here and has not gone for the usual suspects presenting instead some perhaps lesserknown compositions. Titles are: Carolan's Welcome; Carolan's Ramble to Castiel; Heuilett; O'Flunn; James Betagh; Betagh's Jig; Lady Saint John; Lord Inchiquin; Mrs, Crojton; Henry MacDermott Roe; Bumper Squire Jones; Hugh O'Donnell.
