Facial Animation Rig for Delgo - Page 3 - Free Character Tutorials for Maya I am Warren Grubb, Animation Director for Fathom Studios on the film Delgo. (click here for the trailer) When we R&D for the feature film Delgo, I was Technical Director and I knew we would need a facial rig for our characters that was more powerful and flexible than standard multi-targeted blendshape rigs. The solution we came up with, to describe it very simply, uses NURBS curves as influence objects on a poly mesh that is bound to control joints using smooth skining. In today's post we'll explore how this concept applies to an under-appreciated part of your environment: the computer desktop. Color Theory Tutorial, Concepts, Essays and Color Basics Why study color theory? If you are involved in the creation or design of visual documents, an understanding of color will help when incorporating it into your own designs. Choices regarding color often seem rather mystical, as many seem to base decisions on nothing other than "it looks right." Although often told I had an eye for color, the reason why some colors worked together while others did not always intrigued me and I found the study of color theory fascinating. While attending the University of Minnesota I enrolled in almost every course I could from different departments: graphic design, interior design, and fine arts. During my studies, I learned that there were 2 main reasons why scholars investigated color—the first involved the communication of colors; the other involved the application of color.

Run Freak Run - The Fairytale This week we had an interesting question posed to us by Jarrod in the blog’s comment section. In a nutshell it was about breaking out of an old style, and whether we have any helpful views on that subject. I started writing an answer, but it blew out of proportion pretty quickly. Silver said he wants to contribute his thoughts on the matter too, but since out of the two of us I’m the “man of few words”, we decided this subject will do better as a proper blog post. 100+ Maya 3D Tutorials For Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced Users When it comes to high-end 3d computer graphics and 3d modeling software package, Autodesk Maya is always one of application to be considered. A little bit about me, I am a freelance character artist working from France and I made this character during some spare time. Let’s get down to business.
