Lady Gaga's 'Yoü And I' Personas: Who Are Yuyi And Jo Calderone? Lady Gaga's "Yoü and I" video is eye candy — if your type of eye candy involves freaky sci-fi love stories, that is. The Laurieann Gibson-directed video, which makes its television debut tonight at 7:49 p.m. ET/PT on MTV and Logo during "MTV First: Lady Gaga," certainly recalls many of the personas in Gaga's world. Lady Gaga's musical director recalls how "Yoü and I" came to be. There are nods to many of Gaga's past incarnations.

OpenLeaks - LeakDirectory From LeakDirectory OpenLeaks.org is a current work in progress by former WikiLeaks.org people, including [Domscheit-Berg] with the intention of providing a whistleblowing infrastructure for local whistleblowers and the mainstream media and non-governmental organisations, without the controversy associated with Julian Assange and WikiLeaks.org They should have much to contribute in terms of computer infrastructure security, anonymity and scalability experience, but their system, like that of Wikileaks.org / WikiLeaks.ch itself, is not currently accepting any whistleblower submissions.
MTV Video Music Awards: Jo Calderone in Dior Homme, Brooks Brothers, Uniqlo and Dr. Martens When MTV News asked Laurieann Gibson whether Jo Calderone will be attending the VMAs, she answered she’s trying to book him: “I’m talking to his manager now, so I’ll keep you posted” and added “He’s not a diva. He’s just a real dude. He’s a little scary, but he’s real.” 8 Excellent Fonts For Screen and Print Well, it’s been a few months since my last post about fonts and typefaces and since then I’ve done a lot more exploring into the vast world of typefaces and returned with some very interesting finds. I am the Indiana Jones of the typeface world. As followers of my site will know, I particular passion of mine is Graphical User Interface (GUI) design. Hell, I work on computers for many hours a day*, mainly my own, and have a lot of experience and interest in customising and theming Linux Operating Systems. I am, consciously and subconsciously, always seeking the perfect GUI for Operating Systems.
Fashion and Comics: A Brief Primer on Wearing It Well Let’s be all the way real for a second here: Most comics-related clothes suck. The ones you can find in “Previews” tend to be a hero or villain’s logo on a solid color. And, okay, that’s cool or whatever, I guess. It’s just sort of boring, isn’t it? I mean, great, you’ve got a shirt that looks kinda like Superman’s top. Now what?

Arriving at the Beacon Theatre: Lady Gaga in Viktor & Rolf Exactly the way I love it. My morning café au lait with a big teaspoon of fashion. Today I have it all. RANE on the Behance Network During the redesign of the magazine IL I was asked to develop, under the creative direction of Francesco Franchi, the visual project of the new cultural section: RANE. The brief was to create a sort of magazine inside the magazine, with its own bold language: the tone of the articles was provocative and challenging and the visuals had to reflect this attitude. The first and foremost inspirations for the project were some futurist magazines like Lacerba and Dinamo Futurista: the name RANE comes from a quote of a medieval poetry work (called L'acerba) from Cecco d'ascoli, which was used by the magazine Lacerba as a sort of payoff (the whole line goes as "Qui non si canta al modo delle rane"). Starting from there, we tried to elaborate a more modern language, incorporating infographics and visual storytelling to accompany the articles content or to build a parallel-yet-related story along them.
Queens of the Neighborhood: A Tutorial I love customizing jackets. For me, it’s not only about having an item of clothing that I can wear with anything–it’s that it says something about me. I use my jackets as a canvas for screaming: “HEY GUYS THIS IS EVERYTHING I AM/LOVE/BELIEVE IN.” And thus complete strangers can take one glance at me and instantly know what I’m all about.
