My So Called Green Life...: How to Sew a Credit Card Wallet, Business, or Gift Card holder Update: I've finally created a Flickr group where you can upload photos of the credit card wallets you've made. I've seen some really fun versions out there, so please share them with us here~ I'm a huge purse-lover, but I always find myself grabbing my driver's license and credit card when running into the grocery store, post office, out to drop the kids off at school, etc., so I love having these little wallets in a multitude of colors and patterns. They're light enough to grab and go and compact enough to slide in my back pocket. They're also great way to personalize giving a gift card. The tutorial I did for this version has been the most popular post on my blog every week since I put it up in November of 2008.

Visual Storytelling: New Language for the Information Age by Maria Popova We now live in a world where information is potentially unlimited. Information is cheap, but meaning is expensive. Popup Vex is a modern dialog library which is highly configurable, easily stylable, and gets out of the way. You’ll love vex because it’s tiny (6kb minified, 2kb minifed + gzipped), has a clear and simple API, works on mobile devices, and can be customized to match your style in seconds. It supports built in CSS spinner for asynchronous dialogs. {DIY} Fishtail Bracelet - Typical House Cat PSST: Thanks to popular demand, I’m super excited to announce that you can now purchase already-made fishtail bracelets from my jewelry shop, Lovecat Cult, just click here! These DIY fishtail bracelets were a product of my impatience. I ordered a bunch of Chinese knotting cord to make this necklace and the cord arrived a couple of days before the rest of the supplies I needed. I immediately became obsessed with it, making all sort of macramé and friendship bracelets. If you’ve been following DIY blogs then you’ve seen plenty of macramé lately but hopefully, this is the first time you are seeing the fishtail or herringbone weave.

Complete Reference Guides and Online Manuals for All Adobe Tools Even years after it went up, a lot of people still don’t know about it. We’re talking about the free online documentation for all Adobe software – a set of user manuals that can answer quite a few customer questions, and also be a great resource if you don’t use a product yet but want to find out more about it… This exists in searchable and downloadable form for all major Adobe applications, including the Creative Cloud, Creative Suite, Lightroom, Acrobat, Photoshop Elements, etc. – for all recent releases on both Windows and Mac OS. For example, every so often we receive a question on how to save back to earlier versions from InDesign CC or CS6… Fortunately, this is answered in the “Saving Documents” section in InDesign’s online manual. (And for all the cases like these, we also put together a special roadmap for CC file compatibility.) Related: Do you believe any of these?
