Ultimate List of Free Sewing Patterns A while ago, when I walked along some vintage store in Manchester, I found some vintage sewing pattern. They were mainly from the 60′s and 70′s. If sewing is the language of fashion, the pattern should be the books. It recorded different style according to time. Below, here are some free pattern resources you can find online: DIY Sunprint emballage My go-to DIY seems to perpetually be a tote bag. Once you’ve got the basic technique down, you can churn one out in less than an hour. I’m always looking for an excuse to make one, and I get most excited when I can add a simple twist to make it into something totally new and different. In this case, a tried and true sewing technique plus an innovative product makes for a one-of-a-kind but decidedly utilitarian garden tote.

Pretty Little Petals [Free Pattern] Strictly speaking, this post was intended to be the "Part Two" section of the Granny Oblong saga. Except that I went on a frogging spree, and now the whole thing is sitting in the "in progress" box (which has a lid, so I don't have to look at them for a while! :P) But since you were promised a pattern, and since this is called "eggbirddesigns" not "eggbirdthefrog", a pattern ye shall receive!! I hope you like it :) zippered keychain clutch usually i don't mind doing laundry...but i hate having to trek around with all my stuff only to realize that i forgot quarters. and i'm the only one with a key to the laundry area which means if i'm not home my boyfriend can't do laundry, not that he would anyway lol. so i decided to make a little pouch to hold quarters that i could also keep on a keychain with the key to the laundry room. Circle Shirt Tutorial Circle Shirt Tutorial---also known as the project that took three tries, nearly made me throw my serger out the window, led to the discovery of water soluble stabilizer, and had me so frustrated I wanted to scream. I saw a great circle shirt tutorial on Pinterest and thought I’d give it a try. It looked so easy. So I found some pretty floral sheer fabric on the cheap rack at WalMart and thought it would be so pretty and flowy. I cut it out and got out my serger to narrow roll hem the edges. Couture This week I tackled a sewing project that truly scared me. A kind friend who is done having kids gave me her new-ish infant car seat. I am so glad I didn't have to buy one, but the old one was a little boyish: And a little boring. And I just couldn't get the idea of recovering it out of my crazy pregnant brain. I remembered how you carry these car seats everywhere for the first six months or so.

Recycle your old t-shirts into yarn Are your hands itching to starting crocheting or knitting but you have no yarn at home? Do you have some old t-shirts laying around at home? If your answer is twice yes, than your problem is solved and you can start in no time ;-). Of course you can buy recycled T-shirt yarn in the shop, it has the same thickness as the one you will cut but it will have a different sentimental value. Nowadays we do think more in terms of recycling, well this is an excellent way to start. When searching on the net you will find more ways of 'how to cut your T-shirt into yarn', but for me this video explains it very well.
