Scott Fitzgerald were aspiration, literature, Princeton, Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald, and alcohol. Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, on September 24, 1896, the namesake and second cousin three times removed of the author of the National Anthem. Fitzgerald’s given names indicate his parents’ pride in his father’s ancestry. His father, Edward, was from Maryland, with an allegiance to the Old South and its values. Edward Fitzgerald failed as a manufacturer of wicker furniture in St. During 1911-1913 he attended the Newman School, a Catholic prep school in New Jersey, where he met Father Sigourney Fay, who encouraged his ambitions for personal distinction and achievement. In June 1918 Fitzgerald was assigned to Camp Sheridan, near Montgomery, Alabama. Our “occurrings” are the source of most of our negative emotions, which means they are the source of most of our suffering; they are the vehicle through which our beliefs determine our behavior and feelings; they are the source of most disagreements and arguments between people; and they are one of the biggest barriers to being able to successfully resolve problems in our life. There is nothing else you can do—regardless of how much you pay or how much time it takes—that will improve the quality of your life as much. Beautiful web-based timeline software How To Make Students Better Online Researchers I recently came across an article in Wired Magazine called “ Why Kids Can’t Search “. I’m always interested in this particular topic, because it’s something I struggle with in my middle and high school classes constantly, and I know I’m not alone in my frustrations. Getting kids to really focus on what exactly they are searching for, and then be able to further distill idea into a few key specific search terms is a skill that we must teach students, and we have to do it over and over again. We never question the vital importance of teaching literacy, but we have to be mindful that there are many kinds of “literacies”. An ever more important one that ALL teachers need to be aware of is digital literacy. In the past, we spent a lot of time in schools teaching kids how to do library research, and how to use a variety reference materials like dictionaries, encyclopedias, microfiche, card catalogs, public records, anthologies, and other sources too numerous to recall. Thinking Outside Of The Box Recently, I was helping a new client with her "closet challenges." It's a standard practice in the organizing industry to group like wardrobe items together so you can easily create a variety of different outfits -- but it was clear that my client was never going to be a mix-and-match girl, no matter how many times Mission Organization told her to change her ways! We ended up putting her clothes together in complete outfits, attaching a zippy bag with the appropriate jewelry to the hanger, and including a notecard that reminded her which shoes to wear.

As I have written previously about iPads in the classroom, our decision to use iPads did not start with iPads, it started with learning goals and objectives.
