Old Software Downloads for Windows, Mac, Linux and Abandonware Games stumbleupon There are several options when it comes to backing up a WordPress site. Depending on the type of access you have, retrieving the database or an XML backup is easy. But what if you don’t have access to the database or the backend? Consider the following scenario presented on the WordPress subreddit: A relative who used WordPress recently passed away and you have no way to access the backend of their site. One option is to use WGET. In the example below, I used four different parameters. HTML Extension – This will save the retrieved files as .HTMLConvert Links – After the download is complete, this will convert the links in the document to make them suitable for local viewing. wget –html-extension –convert-links -m -w 20 Using this command, each post and page will be saved as an HTML file. Top 10 Underhyped Windows Apps I have a few Metro Apps that I can recommend. As a Desktop Explorer alternative, I can recommend My Explorer for simple browsing and Metro Commander for moving files from A to B, or C:\ to D:\. If you use Dropbox, then you also might want to install the official Dropbox App. For your YouTube needs, there is YouTube Player or, if you need a few additional features, YouTube RT. However, there yet has to be an official YouTube App for the Metro interface. Aside from that, Win8/RT already comes with a lot of good Apps. What I can NOT recommend, tho, is Skype, as the Desktop version still works much better and does not screw up when you use Steam in OpenMic mode, the default Music app stand-alone as the Playlist manager is horrible (but the player itself is fine otherwise) and any App that lets you throw a more Metro-styled tile for your Desktop programs on the Start screen (OblyTile works better and is free)

jPdf Tweak - Swiss Army Knife for PDF files How to Find Anything Online: Become an Internet Research Expert Einstein once said, “The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources.” The same could be said of intelligence. What they don’t tell you is that the “smart” people of the world are, in most cases, just better at researching and learning things than everyone else. But researching is a learned skill, not something you’re born with. And while some people might be predisposed to learn things more easily than others, it’s generally not enough to make a measurable difference. By learning how to research, you can quickly and fairly easily become knowledgeable about just about anything. It’s all there, online, for free.
