Six Styles of Love Love Styles: A Brief Background The six love styles was originally developed by John Lee (1973, 1988), he referred to these love styles as "colors of love", and also wrote a book on this theory. The six love styles are: Eros, Ludus, Storge, Pagma, Mania, and Agape. Later Clyde Hendrick and Susan Hendrick, expanded on this theory. They have found that men tend to be more ludic, whereas women tend to be storgic and pragmatic. Mania is often the first love style teenager’s display. Plastic Cups Become Fields of Snow It’s not the first thing you think of when you see a package of plastic cups, but Tara Donavan has been making beautiful sculptures with the mass produced items… and they look a lot like fields of snow. By taking transparent plastic cups and stacking them at varying heights, then placing them side-by-side, she makes a rolling field of white. It looks almost soft enough to make a snow angel. Because of their mostly brilliant white color, the shapes take on an inviting and clean feeling often resembling snow or soap bubbles.

Moreover, the impact of the new interfaces on the audience may indicate their expectations regarding future gesture interactions.
The Forgotten Language of Flowers In the early 18th century the Turkish "Secret Language of Flowers" was introduced to Europe by Lady Mary Wortley Montague, wife of the British ambassador to Constantinople. Flowers had long been a sign of romance but now lovers were able to send secret messages to each other by means of sending a posy of flowers. Each flower had a specific meaning and the order of arrangement had much to do with the intended "message". The French seem to have taken this idea to heart. In 1819 a French woman writing under the pen name of Madame Charlotte de la Tour (Louise Cortambert), wrote and published "Le Language des Fleurs" which offered seasonal floral and anecdotal advice to those wishing to send "secret" messages to each other. The following list of flowers comes mainly from that original book but has been augmented to include some common flowers of today as some of those from yesteryear are unknown.
Frosty Crop Circles Made With Snowshoes The time it takes to create great art is often unfathomable, but imagine if snow were the medium and each piece could take up to ten hours! That sounds excruciating! Snow artist Simon Beck does just that, creating intricate geometric patterns reminiscent of crop circles in the snow, often on top of lakes, in the middle of the night! He plans his designs with a ruler and protractor, then straps on his snowshoes, and super-sizes the pattern with his footsteps. Most of his designs are completed at the ski resort Les Arcs, in the French Alps, where he lives for the Winter.
