Popular Rock Music Of The 90s - The Songs That Defined A Decade Rizzo Music is back with a new article from the “Popular Music of the 90s” series. Last week I made a list of some of the best pop music of the decade and today I am going to share with you my list for the most popular rock music of the 90s. Out of all the lists and playlists I have created in the past, this was by far the hardest to come up with.

Husker Du Covers This is a cross-reference list of Hüsker Dü (i.e., Hart, Mould, Norton) songs covered by other artists. The list is sorted by song title; artist names are linked to the corresponding entries in the annotated discography, which provide more detailed source information. Not all of the tracks listed have been formally released, but songs available only on live concert tapes have generally been excluded. Note: The one non-Hüsker song on the list is "Eight Miles High," which was included because it appears on the the Dü Hüskers tribute album. There are countless other EMH covers out there, not to mention the original; these have been consciously omitted.

That is the view of Francesco Caio, one of the government's chief advisers on so-called next generation access and author of a major report into how the UK should roll out super-fast broadband. He told delegates at the NextGen 08 conference in Manchester that the future would be a "patchwork" of community-based networks. The challenge, he said, was to make sure that these networks all worked together. "Building a network has traditionally been associated with big companies but there is going to be a major shift to local communities being the owners of their own networks and picking the service providers they want to go on it," he said. How to segue to a story Posted by Shawn Callahan - February 17, 2009Filed in Business storytelling When I teach storytelling techniques I’m often asked, “So how do I insert my story into the conversation?” The funny thing is we are all doing it all the time. We are mostly telling each other stories about what happened or what will happen. Giant Global Graph: Do You Need A Clue? Sir Tim, who more or less invented the World Wide Web, recently did a blog post entitled the Giant Global Graph. It’s a long rambling post that touches on multiple themes. It is a logical reductionist discussion that only geeks are equipped to fully understand and appreciate. Not because it is a superior way to organize and article, but only because our minds are pitifully linear compared to more intuitive thinkers. Opinions vary on how well these themes go together as the primary insight behind the whole article is that the notion of additional structure for the web beyond mere hyperlinks in the form of a graph is valuable and far reaching.

What happens to websites when your information is free to move? Social websites are getting better, more used, more open and more complete. Why should you start a website or blog if you can also write on your Facebook. Or why wouldn’t you transfer or duplicate all your data from your Facebook to any other social network or widget. Do we need custom coded websites? We need interfaces that show the information, but do we still need custom coded websites?
