Lasagna Stuffed Shells Recipe

Lasagna Stuffed Shells Recipe
Whenever I go to an Italian restaurant I order one of two things, lasagna or some sort of alfredo. It is something I could eat everyday but am too lazy to make it at home… ever… it just takes too damn long. So, in an attempt to decrease the time it takes to make lasagna (and because I stumbled across a post somewhere) I was going to do some sort of lasagna spin-off. This did not save me anytime at all. I can’t really call a post mine without there being some disgusting looking mixture of ingredients. The meat mix was half ground beef half sweet sausage. Next up, I got the sauce rolling and started cooking the shells according to their box. The sauce was stole from “The Worlds Best Lasagna” on allrecipes: onions, garlic, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, and sugar. As soon as I started stuffing these beasts I realized that I was not saving myself any time or effort… and there probably isn’t anyway to cut the time commitment down and still produce a worthwhile lasagna. Chicken Enchiladas Recipe | Poormet I asked Alicia what she felt like for dinner. She responded with, “Chicken enchiladas!” I then asked Google how to make enchiladas. Tyler Florence responded with, “Chicken, random veggies, tortillas, chilies, cheese, and spices.” In the past, our enchiladas also included some rice on the inside… adds an extra texture and fills it out quite nicely. Alicia was tasked with the chicken (since she hates chopping onions). The sauce started with a saute of the onions, garlic, and chilies, then ended with a can of stewed tomatoes. A few minutes later, the chicken was added back to the pan and mixed thoroughly with the sauce. The tortillas were doused in enchilada sauce, filled with the chicken mixture, and then placed seam-side-down in the baking pan. Add your favorite toppings and go to town. If you cut back on the cheese, you can almost consider these to be fairly healthy. Chicken Enchiladas – All the Mexican flavors you are looking for in a highly modifiable recipe to suit your needs. Chicken Parmesan Grilled Cheese As you may have noticed, I’ve been cheerfully enjoying National Grilled Cheese Month with my Green Bean Casserole Grilled Cheese Sliders and my Grilled Cheese Roundup over on Brit. I just couldn’t help myself, so I was back at it in the kitchen this week coming up with another delicious creation. This one was inspired with my favorite sandwich at La Villa Delicatessen in Willow Glen. It’s been awhile since I’ve had one, so I can’t remember exactly, but I think their version is more of a sandwich rather than a melt. Either way, my rendition turned out AH-mazing (if I do say so myself). I’m not going to tell you lies. If you like Chicken Parmesan, you are going to L-O-V-E this sandwich. by Jaymee Sire Keywords: bake grill entree sandwich basil chicken tomato cheese For the tomato sauce:Sauté the onions and garlic in a little olive oil until soft.

Hot Buttered Fluffy Pretzels Have you ever waited in one of those really long lines at the mall for a soft pretzel? You know…the ones for Auntie Anne’s, or Wetzel’s Pretzels? You just can’t help it, right? You can smell that darned cinnamon sugar and butter wafting over from like 100 feet away. Well try these at home, and you’ll never buy those mall pretzels ever again. Start by making a simple yeasted dough, and shape it into a ball. Let the yeast work its magic and create these gorgeous bubbles. Sometimes I just stare at the dough because it’s sooooo prettyyyyyy… Divide up the dough into pieces, and roll each into a long rope. Shape into pretzels by looping the rope through. Sprinkle each pretzel with coarse sea salt and send them into the oven. Bake until golden and puffed, then brush with butter. Enjoy while they are hot! UPDATE: I have posted a 100% Whole Wheat Version of these pretzels (cinnamon sugar ones!) Click here to check it out. Copyright Notice: Fifteen Spatulas images and content are copyright protected. Braided Spaghetti Bread » The official blog of America's favorite frozen dough We are carb lovers at our house, so when I saw the Braided Spaghetti Bread recipe in the Rhodes Home Baked Family Favorites with frozen dough cookbook I knew we would love it. This is a really simple recipe; it just takes a little planning for thawing the dough. It will take 2-3 hours for the bread loaf to thaw to room temperature or 1-2 hours for the rolls to thaw to room temperature. You will need: 1 Loaf Rhodes Bread Dough or 12 Rhodes Dinner Rolls, thawed to room temperature6 oz spaghetti, cooked 1 cup thick spaghetti sauce 8 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into 1/2 –inch cubes 1 egg white Parmesan cheese Parsley flakes Spray counter lightly with non-stick cooking spray (or use parchment paper). Roll loaf or combined dinner rolls into a 12x16-inch rectangle. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Remove wrap from dough. Make cuts 1 ½-inches apart on long sides of dough to within ½-inch of filling. Begin braid by folding top and bottom strips toward filling. This was fantastic!

Tender Tasty Teriyaki Chicken Kebabs | Sortachef The temperature hit 70 the other day here at Chez Bullhog. That hasn’t happened since September, according to the weather guys, but I really wouldn’t know. When you live in a city where people put on sunglasses for light rain, you learn to optimize conditions; around here, one really nice weekend can instantly wipe out months of bleary weather. So – sunshine in Seattle, the University street fair in full swing, the smell of freshly mown grass, everybody out in shorts and flip-flops and flowers blooming all over the place. Here’s how to make succulent and always-tender chicken the way we just love it. The Best Chocolate Mousse of Your Life Under 5 Minutes : Cafe Fernando – Food Blog - best chocolate mousse - best chocolate mousse recipe - chocolate chantilly - chocolate mousse recipe - herve this - Chocolate December 22nd, 2010 | Category: Chocolate Two ingredients (seriously, only chocolate and water) and five minutes later, you will be eating The Best Chocolate Mousse of Your Life. I promise. And you don’t even need any fancy kitchen gadgets. This amazing discovery was made by the famous French chemist, Hervé This, who is also known as the man who unboiled an egg. Since the recipe has only two ingredients, it all comes down to the quality of the chocolate you use. Don’t take this as a mousse recipe only. You can also flavor it with spices like cinnamon or cayenne pepper or add a tablespoon of liquor like Grand Marnier, Chartreuse or Tia Maria. Or boil the water first, take off heat, place a couple of Earl Grey tea bags, let infuse and then use it as your liquid. The most important part of the recipe is achieving the right consistency. As soon as I hit the publish button, I’ll start working against a very tight deadline for the book. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
