Buttonhole Scarflet in Red : BonBonanza Posted on | September 19, 2011 | 10 Comments Buttonhole Scarflet in Red Everybody, get exctited, because I have finished my first crochet pattern! I’m calling it my Red Buttonhole Scarflet. For clarification purposes, a “scarflet” is essentially a short scarf, and therefore, less likely to drag around and catch on things. I made that button! This pattern is more of what people call a ‘recipe’ than counted-out directions. Buttonhole Scarflet Abbreviations: Dc=Double Crochet Ch=Chain Stitch Sl=Slip Stitch To begin, make a slipknot and chain enough to wrap loosely around your neck, plus about a hand-length (from the tip of your middle finger to your wrist).Ch 2 more inches onto this length of chain, to make your buttonhole. Remember this? 5. 6. *[ Dc in each stitch until you get to the buttonhole. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. And that’s it! Comments

Angry Bird is one of my mom’s favorite games and since I have made her seventy three billion NobyNoby Boys, it seemed a good idea to go with something different for her xmas gift this year, so Angry Birds it was. Things were down to the wire (it’s been nuts this year), so two amis were all I could put together, but I do believe they were a hit. I realize there are already several patterns for these available online but between the significant portion of them that were pay (tsk tsk!), the simpler than ideal shaping on some (pig is not a perfect ball people… he’s just not!) and my general (read TOTAL) reluctance (read UNWILLINGNESS) for reading or following any pattern (inclusive of my own) I decided to whip mine up on the fly all the while keeping decent enough notes to publish the pattern since it’s been a while and you’ve all been so fabulously patient. Sock Monkey Hat- Adult size So I have been crocheting these sock monkey hats and they seem to be well received. A friend of mine who crochets was interested in making one, and I have been wanting to experiment with actually writing out a pattern, so heres my chance. This is my first pattern that Ive written out, so if you try it and have questions or get stuck on something feel free to ask me and I will gladly give you all the help that I can. I ocasionally use patterns, but I usually just do what feels right or what looks good, so this should be interesting!! Good luck!
