Road Network Performance Management is all about the flow of surface transport. That's pedestrians, bikes, buses, cars and taxis. Joining the team as a graduate, you'll be involved in everything from traffic control to operational modelling. You'll play a central role - from monitoring, operating and reviewing traffic signals, through to designing, planning and optimising new approaches to managing traffic and demand. What's more, we'll look to you to research and develop new techniques to manage the network more efficiently than ever. Vacancies for PhD students - Risk Consulting, London
We have specific roles for PhD students in our Risk Consulting team to start in April and autumn 2012.

Candidates will need to have a good academic record, including at least a 2.1 in their degree and a 340 UCAS tariff or equivalent. Ideally they will also have a PhD in a highly numerate discipline such as:

- Mathematics
- Physics
- Control Engineering
- Computer Sciences
