Point Cloud Library The Point Cloud Library (or PCL) is a large scale, open project for point cloud processing, started by Willow Garage, with the purpose to accelerate 3D algorithmic work in perception for use in robotic applications. The PCL framework contains numerous state-of-the art algorithms including filtering, feature estimation, surface reconstruction, registration, model fitting and segmentation, to name a few. PCL is released under the terms of the BSD license and is open source software. Wiki - BML 1.0 Standard - Mindmakers This document introduces and describes version 1.0 of the Behavior Markup Language standard. This document contains background information, descriptions of typical use contexts, and, most importantly, the syntactic and semantic details of the XML format of the Behavior Markup Language. The Behavior Markup Language, or BML, is an XML description language for controlling the verbal and nonverbal behavior of (humanoid) embodied conversational agents (ECAs). A BML block (see example in figure below) describes the physical realization of behaviors (such as speech and gesture) and the synchronization constraints between these behaviors.
boilerpipe - Boilerplate Removal and Fulltext Extraction from HTML pages This project is moving to The following information is outdated and only provided for reference. The boilerpipe library provides algorithms to detect and remove the surplus "clutter" (boilerplate, templates) around the main textual content of a web page. The library already provides specific strategies for common tasks (for example: news article extraction) and may also be easily extended for individual problem settings. * Multiple face detection and recognition in real time Download FaceRecPro Optimized Version: Source code, Demo: All binaries references, algorithm enhanced - 6.5 MB Introduction The facial recognition has been a problem very worked around the world for many persons; this problem has emerged in multiple fields and sciences, especially in computer science, others fields that are very interested In this technology are: Mechatronic, Robotic, criminalistics, etc. In this article I work in this interesting topic using EmguCV cross platform .Net wrapper to the Intel OpenCV image processing library and C# .Net, these library’s allow me capture and process image of a capture device in real time. Neil Schneider's Blog - Reality or Delusion? The VR Sales Numbers You Can Count On The following blog post, unless otherwise noted, was written by a member of Gamasutra’s community. The thoughts and opinions expressed are those of the writer and not Gamasutra or its parent company. Today we are going to bring some reason to the viability of VR with the help of the most recent sales statistics from JPR and other industry developments. Key topics include:

Localytics Plans and Pricing While the functionality of Professional and Enterprise is similar, our Enterprise package is designed to support apps with significant scale. Organizations with over 100,000 MAUs or 6M Monthly Data Points receive the Enterprise package benefits. These benefits include additional onboarding help, access to higher priority support, and additional features that facilitate large user bases such as Raw Data Access and Unlimited Messaging. Professional customers get access to standard email and phone support, as well as live, on-demand training and best practices documentation. Raspberry Pi OpenCV Pan & Tilt Face Tracker Create your own face tracking, pan and tilt camera on the Raspberry Pi! This tutorial will demonstrate use of the OpenCV (computer vision) library to identify and track faces on the raspberry pi using two servos and a USB webcam. For the interested, I previously covered a more thorough overview of the installation of OpenCV from source here, however, I have found that the apt package is sufficient for all but the most bleeding edge of projects. This project is based on the OpenCV face tracking example that comes along with the source-based distribution. In short, it performs face detection using haar-like features to analyze the video frame, and locates any faces present within it.
Kinect + Emgu « Geek-Press Sorry about the inactivity but having and a daytime job and girlfriend sometimes leaves us without time. Started to play with Computer Vision and Kinect, didn't done a big thing but I was completly unaware of how CV works and after reading a while about it I hear that Emgu is a great wrapper for openCV library. In fact you can do some face detection without any worries at all. So let's do a hands-on on this library Easy Movie Texture (Video Texture) Requires Unity 4.6.3 or higher. Easy Movie Texture This Demo Supported platforms: Android, iOSSupported platforms(Beta Version ):PC (windows, Mac 64bit) [PC & Editor Mode uses ffmpeg. Watson wannabes: 4 open source projects for machine intelligence Over the last year, as part of the new enterprise services that IBM has been pushing om its reinvention, Watson has become less of a "Jeopardy"-winning gimmick and more of a tool. It also remains IBM's proprietary creation. What are the chances, then, of creating a natural-language machine learning system on the order of Watson, albeit with open source components?
