Eric Zuesse – Obama v. Putin: Their Debate on Crimea (I) - Strategic Culture Foundation - on-line journal > Obama v. Putin: Their Debate on Crimea (I) The Source of the ‘New Cold War’: The Basic Disagreement Between Obama and Putin The basic disagreement between U.S. President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin, and the source of the economic sanctions against Russia, and ’the new cold war,’ concerns the question of whether the process by which Crimea separated from Ukraine and joined Russia was, as Obama says, «aggression» by Russia, an illegal «seizure» of Crimea by Russia; or, on the other hand, as Putin says, a thoroughly legal and democratic act by the people of Crimea, to exercise their right of self-determination, via a referendum. Many of the points that will be referred-to, along the way here, are going to be opposite to the views that are widespread in the West; and, so, wherever that is the case, clicking onto the linked source will enable you easily to check what’s being said, if it conflicts with what you ‘know’ or have previously been told. How Tennessee Could Be About To Start A Constitutional Crisis The State Senate of Tennessee has laid the legislative groundwork for something that hasn't been done in the United States of America since the Constitutional Convention of 1787 in Philadelphia. With a vote of 27-3, the Tennessee Senate has voted to call a "convention of the states" in order to draft and pass an amendment to the Constitution that would require balanced budgets to be passed every year. For those who are little fuzzy on their high school U.S. history knowledge, the Tennessean explains that the U.S. propertarianism by Vivek Upadhyay GOSSIP Gossip is a non-correspondent, warranty-free means of enhancing personal status through deploying and extrapolating upon selective information about the person being gossiped about. Through use of loaded statements, jokes, rash impressionistic judgments, etc. in a shared consensus often exhibiting “shared information bias” despite the demonstrable costs of this error, gossipers seek to obtain a non-correspondent and parasitic discount on interpersonal status relative to a subject gossiped about, in part, by circumventing the high cognitive requirements of engaging in constructive criticism (rather than loaded critique) which involves a truthful gauging of the gossip subject’s incentives to have said or done supposedly cost-imposing and investment worthiness-undermining things.
Greek crisis: Varoufakis presents ideas to end 'costly discord' - live updates Helena Smith Over in Athens there has been some fighting talk from senior members of the governing far left Syriza party this morning, reports our correspondent Helena Smith. With no signs of a deal in sight, leading Syriza party cadres are now being asked, outright, whether euro exit is on the cards. Speaking to Mega TV this morning, the party’s hardline social security minister Dimitris Stratoulis said the leftist-led government had already “taken measures” to ensure that ordinary Greeks did not suffer in the event of an agreement not being reached. State Sponsors of Terrorism: US Planned and Carried out 9/11 Attacks, but Blames Other Countries for Them Out MEMRI - Middle East Media Research Institute On the eve of President Obama’s April 2016 visit to Saudi Arabia, the U.S. Congress began debating the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act (JASTA), that would, inter alia, allow the families of victims of the September 11 attacks to sue the Saudi government for damages. Also in April 2016, the New York Times published that a 2002 congressional inquiry into the 9/11 attacks had found that Saudi officials living in the United States at the time had a hand in the plot. The commission’s conclusions, said the paper, were specified in a report that has not been released publicly.
Media Betrayal: Steve Harvey Given Uncle Tom Treatment After Trump Meeting, N... Comedian Steve Harvey and actress Nicole Kidman are the latest celebrities on a growing list to come under fire for associating with President-elect Donald Trump, or making pro-Trump statements. Harvey has come under vicious attack after meeting with Mr. Trump last Friday to discuss working with incoming HUD secretary Ben Carson on inner-city housing issues. Both Harvey and Carson grew up so poor, and so black, and rose to greatness in their fields - so I think it's safe to assume they are going to be assets to the Black community. It should also be noted that President Obama's transition team asked Harvey to do it, which Trump's team obviously agreed with. In response, the "tolerant left," including fellow black comedian DL Hughley, has not been kind.
Archives for Kevin MacDonald Donald Trump, Judge Curiel, and (((Mean Tweets))): The Reality of Ethnic Identification in Multicultural America Strong ethnic identifications for non-Whites remain controversial in multi-cultural America. On the cuckservative right, such identifications are half-heartedly condemned because they like to imagine that an ideal America should be blind to ethnicity as a way of justifying their non-opposition to massive non-White immigration (“after all, they’re just like us”) and their own lack of identification as […] An Anti-Neocon Revolution in GOP Foreign Policy? One of the big stories coming out of the Trump campaign is the intense hostility he is getting from the neocons, a major part of which is that they would be out of luck when it comes to positions in a Trump administration.
IMF and ECB walk out of Greek debt talks with Syriza By Robert Stevens 13 June 2015 Talks between the Greek Syriza government and its international creditors reached a critical stage on Thursday, as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and European Central Bank (ECB) withdrew their delegations. The IMF and ECB teams were part of the negotiation team in Brussels, along with Greece’s other main creditor, the European Union (EU). The talks centre on establishing new austerity measures to be carried out by Syriza, stemming from the February agreement between the parties. The agreement extended Greece’s existing austerity programme until June, with Syriza receiving the remaining €7.2 billion in loans on the condition that it agrees to legislate further savage cuts. The IMF’s withdrawal followed a failure, late Wednesday evening, by Greek Prime Minister and Syriza leader Alexis Tsipras to reach agreement with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President François Hollande.
The Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan/Frankfurt School schemes for a Final Solution to the "Christian European Problem" by Nick Griffin - European Knights Project European leaders talk about two things these days: preserving European values by taking in Muslim migrants and integrating Muslim migrants into Europe by getting them to adopt European values. The problem, of course, is that the influx is going to KILL liberal values. Some of the political elite are doing it quite deliberately of course, implementing the Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan/Frankfurt School schemes for a Final Solution to the Christian European Problem through mass immigration and miscegenation intended from the very start to breed out of existence the people who created Christendom and Europe. Others do it out of ivory tower ignorance. It does not occur to them that their plan to save European values depends on killing European values and will wipe out the Europeans into the bargain. European countries that refuse to invest money in border security instead find themselves forced to invest money into counterterrorism forces.
The History The US Government HOPES You Never Learn! The Senate lent strong support today to a simply worded resolution calling on Iran to let four Americans come home. Washington Post bureau chief Rezaian, a California native who reported from Tehran since 2008, was seized on July 22, 2014, in a raid on his home. His wife, Yeganeh Salehi, a reporter for UAE English-language newspaper The National, was also detained and released in October. Word came last month that Rezaian will go on trial for espionage charges. Marine vet Hekmati was seized while visiting extended family for the first time in August 2011, Abedini was convicted in January 2013 for establishing Christian house churches, and Levinson went missing off the coast of Iran eight years ago while working as a private investigator. Levinson’s family later received images of him in captivity, though the Iranian government has maintained they don’t know who is holding the former FBI agent.
Bank Of America Sets A Date For The Market's "Great Fall" With the US stock market likely to continue its levitation today, it means that by close of trading, the S&P500 will be above 2,400, the same as Goldman's year end price target, and 100 points away from Bank of America's "euphoric blow off top" destination, which is also known as Michael Hartnett's Icarus Trade. In a note released overnight, Hartnett confirms that he is "sticking with our “Icarus Trade” targets: SPX 2500, GT30 3.5%, DXY 110, oil $70/b", even as he admits that the euphoria level in stocks is unprecedented: Yes, markets are increasingly overbought (it’s now 96 trading days since SPX fell >1% in one session). Yes, sentiment is increasingly bullish (our Bull & Bear Indicator is 7.0, close to the 8.0 sell-signal). Yes, the easy money has been made.
