DIY Wedding Ideas: Confetti Cones, Unique Table Plan & More! Newlywed Sophie, whose gorgeously quirky, vintage English country garden wedding we’ve been admiring for these last few days on Bridal Musings {Part 1 & Part 2} kindly offered to share the DIY details from her wedding. Her and Robert had some great ideas from striped water colour confetti cones to a very unique table numbers display! Striped Confetti Cones Making the confetti cones was pretty simple. I got a couple of pieces of cream card and drew light brown and purple lines on them using watercolour pencils. I then added water to them. DIY Paper Goods I designed the invite, RSVP postcard, menu and order of service using Photoshop and sent them to a local print shop. Bunting Galore My Mum is amazing when it comes to sewing and happily agreed to make the bunting. A Unique, 3D Seating Plan I wanted our seating plan display to be something different. Pin Start by marking lines on the top of your box to create guides for stamping. Since our stamping is aligned at the right, I started stamping from the right side; or backwards. If your box top is like mine, it might sag a little towards the middle… make sure you apply even pressure with your stamp. I always like to test out each stamp along the way… check twice and stamp once. Keep stamping until it reads, “Will you be my…”. Since the box had a slight texture to it, I had to fill in some little spots with a fine black marker. When your ink is finally dry, carefully erase your guide lines. Now we are going to start wrapping! Now, prepare your tissue paper. So cute!!! Now we will tie the outer bow.

DIY Bridesmaids Cards | DIY Wedding Blog I love the idea of formally asking those whom you would like to be in your bridal party. I sent out a cards for my own wedding so that inspired me to come up with a cute project to do the same. I adore the paper chain people that we all learned to make in grade school and this project uses that simple concept to introduce your bridesmaids to everyone. Cut out the shape of the dress you plan on using in the color you desire and personalize each person with some paper hair. To complete the set I created a little card asking “Will you be my bridesmaid?” Enjoy!
