Caramel Apple Cheesecake Bars: My October Secret Recipe Club Entry | This month I was assigned to check out all the recipes at Delicious Existence and choose one to make my own, for this month’s Secret Recipe Club . The majority of Danielle’s recipes are raw, vegan or vegetarian, so there were tons of healthy options to choose from, but wouldn’t you know one of her desserts was just calling my name. Caramel Apple Cheesecake Bars looked and sounded like the perfect dessert for this brisk fall weather we’ve been having, so I began my baking adventure. I had to laugh, reading through her post, as it turns out this recipe was one she made for her Secret Recipe Club selection. I don’t have many of the ingredients in my kitchen that Danielle used in her original recipe, but I was able to substitute things from my own kitchen with great results. Caramel Apple Cheesecake Bars Ingredients Crust Ingredients 2 cups white whole wheat flour 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 cup butter, softened, but not melted Filling Ingredients 3 (8 oz) blocks cream cheese, softened 3/4 cup sugar

70 Things Every Computer Geek Should Know. | Arrow Webzine The term ‘geek’, once used to label a circus freak, has morphed in meaning over the years. What was once an unusual profession transferred into a word indicating social awkwardness. As time has gone on, the word has yet again morphed to indicate a new type of individual: someone who is obsessive over one (or more) particular subjects, whether it be science, photography, electronics, computers, media, or any other field. A geek is one who isn’t satisfied knowing only the surface facts, but instead has a visceral desire to learn everything possible about a particular subject. A techie geek is usually one who knows a little about everything, and is thus the person family and friends turn to whenever they have a question. If you’re that type of person and are looking for a few extra skills to pick up, or if you’re a newbie aiming to get a handhold on the honor that is geekhood, read on to find out what skills you need to know. Paper Flowers – Anyone Can Do That | FindInspirations.com Japanese Kusudama, this tutorial is featured on Craftuts Anyone can do that, I assure you. The proof: I can, just take a quick look at my result below. Below you can see my very first attempt to create paper flowers. What you will need to make your own Kusudama paper ball? 1. 3. 4. (optionally) I prefer torn paper instead of cut. You have to start with a single petal. Now you have to glue your 5 petals into a flower. Apply the glue to only one side of each petal, except for the last one, in this case cover both sides with glue. Your first flower is done. Don’t glue every petal right after you make it. When all 12 flowers are finished you have to glue them together. When two halves of Kusudama Flower Ball are ready you have to glue them together.

Braided Spaghetti Bread & The official blog of Americas favorite frozen dough We are carb lovers at our house, so when I saw the Braided Spaghetti Bread recipe in the Rhodes Home Baked Family Favorites with frozen dough cookbook I knew we would love it. This is a really simple recipe; it just takes a little planning for thawing the dough. It will take 2-3 hours for the bread loaf to thaw to room temperature or 1-2 hours for the rolls to thaw to room temperature. You will need: 1 Loaf Rhodes Bread Dough or 12 Rhodes Dinner Rolls, thawed to room temperature6 oz spaghetti, cooked 1 cup thick spaghetti sauce 8 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into 1/2 –inch cubes 1 egg white Parmesan cheese Parsley flakes Spray counter lightly with non-stick cooking spray (or use parchment paper). Roll loaf or combined dinner rolls into a 12x16-inch rectangle. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Remove wrap from dough. Make cuts 1 ½-inches apart on long sides of dough to within ½-inch of filling. Begin braid by folding top and bottom strips toward filling. This was fantastic!

pizza rolls Does anyone remember those microwavable pizza bites…? Am I the only one that gobbled up four or five every day as an after school snack? Well, guess what. They would be perfect for a kid’s pizza party because you can fill them individually with a vast array of toppings. I didn’t think so. I used my favorite pizza dough recipe to make these rolls and they turned out beautifully in just over an hour, start to finish. Let it be known that although the recipe calls for whole wheat flour, more often times than not, I just use all white flour. All you is roll out the dough, cut it into squares and then fill the squares with whatever toppings you choose! Oh, and did I mention right when they come out of the oven you brush them with garlic butter and freshly grated Parmesan cheese? Pizza rolls > garlic knots Make these this weekend! Pepperoni Pizza Monkey Bread How do you make bread even better? You stuff it with pepperoni and cheese. Then, you bake it in a bundt pan that allows you to pull off little chunks and dip them in pizza sauce. This is the perfect thing to bring to a party (and I did, where it disappeared quickly!) or to eat during a football game. Or, make it for dinner and serve with a salad. This bread takes a little bit of time to prepare, but in about half an hour I had filled my bundt pan with little dough balls, each with a piece of pepperoni and cheese stuffed within it. My new definition of bliss: warm dough with a cheesy center and a bite of pepperoni. Pepperoni Pizza Monkey Breadfrom Confections of a Foodie BrideIngredients: -2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced -4 tbsp butter -2 lbs pizza dough (I used 2 balls of Trader Joe's fresh dough) -6 oz. mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes (about 48 pieces) -pepperoni (about 48 slices) -2-3 cups marinara sauce for serving Directions: 1. 3. 4. Cruft: Lasagna Cupcakes When Intelligentsia Coffee opened in Pasadena recently, I was intrigued the lasagna cupcakes they served. The cupcakes are made by Heirloom LA, a catering business. About the size of a muffin, a single lasagna cupcake was a delicious meal. After seeing how much my daughter enjoyed them (she ate my entire cupcake and I had to order a second one), I decided I had to try making them at home. After a bit of research, here is my method. The girls love them and take them to school as lunch. The ingredients are fairly simple. Spray or wipe the cupcake tin with olive oil for prevent sticking and add a little flavor. Once you filled in the first layer, gently press another wrapper in, forming another cup. Once you've placed the second wrapper, repeat the filling as you see fit. A bit of Mozzarella cheese on top of it all. I baked them for 20 minutes at 375° F and then come out perfectly browned. You can do pretty much anything you want as filling from more meats to a vegan version.
