4 Tricks To Make Perfume Last All Day I love perfume. I think it’s so cool to have a signature scent that adds to the ambiance of who you are, and one that people remember you by. Scent is the most powerful memory trigger. Just one small trace of a scent can take your mind right back to a specific place, event, person, or period of time. The issue I have with perfume, though, is that I can never seem to make the scent last all day. 1. If you have naturally oily skin, you’re in luck — a scent will last much longer on you. 2. Heat is what activates perfume. 3. After applying a fragrance, many people feel a need to rub it in in order to warm the skin or spread the scent. 4. Heat, light, and humidity can all break down the compounds in a perfume, causing it to be less fragrant. Do you have any tricks for making perfume last longer?

How to Paint Your Own Nails I've mentioned more than a few times on here that I love painting my nails. It's kind of a double-edged sword. I think painting my nails is a great stress reliever, but chipped nails gives me terrible anxiety. Over the years, I've perfected the art. Here's my method: ONE | Remove Polish I used to paint my nails at night, but I had way too many nights where I got sheet marks on my nails. TWO | I wash my hands. THREE | I'm right handed... FOUR | Then I switch to painting my right hand. FIVE | I go through with the same method to do a second coat. SIX | No matter what, I have to sit still for at least ten minutes. SEVEN | If I'm going somewhere important and need my nails to really be amazing, I use the Julep Freedom Polymer Top Coat. What are your tips for painting nails? xoxo

get fancy: a winged eyeliner how-to Having spent our formative years in op shops and mosh pits instead of poring through the kind of lady magazines that make you feel bad about your looks before suggesting exxy products to cover up your entire head, we realised we'd entered adulthood with no notion of how to apply eye make-up without looking like a crazed lemur. Or what to do with blush that won't end up on a 'sad clown' Tumblr. Or how to get bouffy, Dolly Parton-esque hair whenever we please. These are important life skills that we don't possess, but oh how we want to. So here we present the first of many Get Fancy blog posts from our favourite, no-bullshit beauty lady: Dana Leviston from Melbourne salon Kenny and the Sunshine Girls. mascarasmall flat wedge brushblack gel liner in pot orall-in-one liquid liner pen 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
