Alors que les établissements sont demandeurs d'une solution complètement unifiée, les moyens manquent et l'offre disposant d'un catalogue global est encore à construire. Lancement le 15 mars 013 Vincent Marty, directeur général de Dilicom (1), donne de nouvelles indications concernant le Projet Numérique en Bibliothèque, déjà évoqué à l’occasion des Assises du livre numérique, le 08 novembre 2012. Le Projet Numérique en Bibliothèque avait alors été décrit comme un « prototype de hub mis en place pour l'accès au livre numérique en bibliothèque, avec un investissement de départ assuré par Dilicom, puis assumé par le même système que pour le livre papier ». Le projet laissera deux possibilités aux utilisateurs : la lecture en streaming et le téléchargement (in situ et hors les murs). En matière de prêt, la durée d’emprunt sera plafonnée, probablement au moyen d’un DRM chrono-dégradable. Dilicom jouera ainsi un rôle d’interface au sein d'un écosystème tripartite : - La bibliothèque, - Le libraire, - La Sofia (Société Française des Intérêts des Auteurs de l’Ecrit), responsable de la gestion des droits.
