NALDIC | Resource archive | Supporting EAL learners in mainstream classrooms The aim of these materials is to provide practical advice on how teachers might best support EAL learners (and particularly newly arrived pupils) in their classrooms. The new teachers' standards apply to all teachers in England from September 2012, regardless of their career stage. They define the minimum level of practice expected of teachers from the point of being awarded QTS. Within these standards every teacher must: 'Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils' . The period since the Second World War has been marked by shifting political environments, the voluntary and enforced migration of people, and the increasing spread of English as a world language. Whilst many families come to this country as a positive choice others do so because they are fleeing difficult circumstances in their home country or because they have been posted here by the company they work for. In many ways, the task faced by teachers is the same with regard to all new children.

A vrai dire, je n’ai pas changé ma progression que j’utilise depuis deux ans. Je travaillerais l’anglais avec mes CE1 et mes CP en même temps, en attendant un peu moins de mes petits CP, bien sûûûûûr ! Les repères de progressivité des IO nous donnent des repères assez précis. Sur Eduscol , voici les repères de progressivité pour le cycle 2 : Eduscol Repères de progressivité cycle 2 Les horaires : 54 heures annuelles pour le CP , le CE1 et le CE2 , soit des séances hebdomadaires de : 1H30 . L’an dernier, je plaçais l’anglais tous les jours de 11H30 à 11h45 (4 jours ) . Voici donc ma progression basée sur des albums de jeunesse .
