Javier Vallhonrat, professor in the Master’s Programme on EFTI, Artist, Photographer, a National Photographer award winner. Javier Vallhonrat (Madrid, 1953). Graduated in Fine Arts and Psychology from Universidad Complutense (Madrid, 1984 and 2012). In the 80’s, he started his career as professional photographer in the fashion industry, publishing in the most prestigious national and international magazines (New York Times, UK Vogue, Vogue Italy or Vogue Paris), activity which it is interrupted in the mid-2000s. In his personal work, he has carried out over the past three decades, an extensive formal reflection, delving deeper into the study of photography as an object of artistic though, exploring his limits as a language, and making it communicate with painting, video, performance, word or installation.
Michael Hoppen Contemporary - Artist - Byung-hun Min - Flowers - Byung-Hun Min was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1955. Min started out as a musician and vocalist, then a student of electronic engineering, before finally discovering photography. He turned to study photography in his late 20’s at the Soon-tae Hong studio, from where he has pursued a successful career in photography. He has been awarded the Dong-A International Photography Salon’s silver medal (1984). Min’s black and white photography often represents nature and the environment; and his pictures aim to capture the essence of the Korean landscape.

El proyecto sobre Pittsburgh, encargo recibido de la Agencia Magnum, debía realizarse en 3 semanas y Smith lo extiende por un año, sin quedar nunca conforme con los resultados y la selección que finalmente publica Magnum. Actualmente, la fundación William Eugene Smith promueve la fotografía humanista, que desde 1980 premia a los fotógrafos comprometidos en este campo.
